DIGITAL WAVEFORM SYSTEMS - Key Persons
Edward E. Newsome is the president, owner, and corporate founder of Digital Waveform Systems, Inc. Digital Waveform was launched in January 2021. Edward functions as the corporation's chief technologist and corporate visionary. He is the inventor of the MIMO-ISS concepts, technologies, and system architectures. As an engineering developer, he performed the proof-of-concept research, and, he designed and developed the MATLAB Models & Simulations for the MIMO-ISS System.
Edward has a broad spectrum of expertise ranging from digital communication systems, multiple-input multiple output system architectures, and waveform design. He specializes in the areas of computational digital communications, computational mathematics, and computational physics. He has extensive expertise with advanced concepts in applied mathematics including areas such as discrete and computational geometry.
Edward has extensive business expertise, and, he is responsible for the business and technology visions and plans for the corporation. Prior to Digital Waveform, he was the founder and owner of the start-up company Moriah Technologies, Inc. Moriah successfully won three SBIRs to develop advanced waveform technologies for the US Army CECOM.
Professionally, Edward has advanced technology expertise in the areas of radar and digital communication signal processing from positions that he held at companies including Raytheon Missile Systems, General Dynamics, and Nortel Networks.
Educationally, Edward's degrees include a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a MSEE from George Washington University, and a MBA from Southern Methodist University. Edward has performed post-masters graduate studies in electrical engineering at the University of Arizona. He holds one US patent, in the field of solid-state optical materials, optical processing, and optical waveguide systems.
