Dr. Amr Abdelkader is a senior consultant Orthopedic Surgeon hailing from Madrid, Spain where he worked in Clinica Universidad de Navarra. We are happy to announce that he has now joined the DOC Medical Center team.
Dr Amr was born and raised in Cairo where he went on to pursue his higher education at Cairo University. After attaining his masters and PHD degrees in Orthopedic surgery and Traumatology, he spent four months as a visiting scholar at the University of Washington in Seattle. He was also appointed as a lecturer at Cairo University and was promoted as an associate professor there in 2007.
Dr Amr migrated to Qatar in 2004 and first worked at Doha clinic and started ICON medical center with partners in 2013. He has more than 16 years of experience in Qatar alone as a consultant and over 25+ years as an Orthopedic Surgeon.
His main specialization is Arthroscopy knee and Shoulder with a special Interest in shoulder surgery. He performs all types of open and arthroscopic knee and Shoulder surgery including instability impingement cuff repairs and shoulder replacement surgeries.

Dr. Anish B Isac was born and brought up in India. He earned his dental degree (BDS, 2003) from Dr. MGR Medical University, India. He then completed a 3-year full-time Master's degree (MDS, 2006) in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics.
His passion for orthodontics led him to travel worldwide to take advanced courses and specialist training in lingual orthodontics, clear aligner systems, micro-implants, and insignia technology, among many others. He also has several international publications to his credit.
Dr. Anish is a highly skilled, caring, and focused clinician with a passion for creating beautiful smiles for his patients, both children, and adults. He is a certified provider of Invisalign.

Dr Arun Nair worked as a Specialist Radiologist and then continued to gain the title of a Consultant Radiologist after graduating as a Doctor of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology in 2008. He achieved this at the Leading and imaging Center in Trivandrum, India.
Dr. Megahed is a fellowship trained Consultant Neurosurgeon with 25 years of experience. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery.
He completed his neurosurgical training in the well reputed Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt. He obtained a Master then a Doctorate degree in Neurosurgery and was appointed as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Mansoura University.
To satisfy his passion for learning and operating at the top level, he did advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery at the World-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, USA for 3 years. He supplemented that with fellowship training in Pediatric (children) Neurosurgery at Acibadem University Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey.
Previously head of Neurosurgery at Doha Clinic Hospital for seven years, Dr. Megahed has a reputation of excellence both on the technical and scientific levels. He treated and operated on thousands of patients in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Doha. His patients report very high satisfaction rate and excellent outcome.

Dr Brett Barnes is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in both Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He is an active Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Originally from Houston, Texas, he has been in practice over 25 years. He began his education with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in North Carolina, then graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He did his Orthopedic residency at Duke University Medical Center, then a fellowship at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr Brett enjoys the cultural diversity of Qatar. In his practice, he sees athletes of all ages. He performs surgeries to reconstruct unstable knees, shoulders, ankles, and to replace worn out knees, hips and shoulders. He especially enjoys arthroscopic reconstructions of knees and shoulders (ACLs and torn labrum). But he also repairs torn cartilage in the knee and shoulder, torn tendons in the shoulder (rotator cuff), knee (quadriceps and patellar) and ankle (Achilles). He also treats trigger fingers, carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, and most fractures. He does PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections for knees and shoulders. He enjoys the Team approach to include the patient, family, physical or occupational therapists, and if applicable the physiotherapists and coaches, to help return patients to the life that they love. Dr Cybele was born and brought up in Lebanon. She is an endodontist specializing in providing complex root canal treatments and general restorative procedures. She is trained and experienced in the most advanced techniques and modern dentistry, including the microscope. Her main goal is to help and educate patients to achieve proper oral health and overcome dental problems.
Dr Cybele graduated in 2012 from the Lebanese University School of Dentistry and then obtained her master's degree in Endodontics in 2016. She has more than 10 years of clinical experience in her private clinic in Beirut before joining DOC Medical Center in 2023. Her interests: endodontic treatments, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and preventive oral healthcare.
She is a member of the Lebanese Dental Association and the Lebanese Society of Endodontology.

Dr. Joy is a Filipino Internist with 13 Years of clinical experience. She completed her robust specialty training at St. Luke's Medical Center, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning academic-medical institution. She is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians and has pursued Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This provided her with deeper understanding of the root causes of non-communicable diseases and apply the system biology approach for patient management. She is truly a well-rounded physician and has further studied Masters in Hospital Management.
She is a proponent for research and evidence-based medicine. Her relevant participations as abstract presenter were during the 4th World Congress on Diabetes and Metabolism in August 2013 (Chicago, USA), the 13th Annual Convention of PhilSPEN in November 2018 (Philippines), the 4th International Primary Health Care Conference in Feb 2020 (Qatar), and the 12th Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Congress in Feb 2022 (UAE),

Born in Ethiopia, Dr. Tolessa graduated as a Doctor of Medicine and went further, completing a Fellowship in Orthopedic and Traumatology at the University of Kuopio, Finland.
Dr. Tolessa specializes in Trauma and Spine, having qualified from Leeds University in the UK. He also earned additional qualifications in Joint Replacement and Trauma from Sunnybrook Health Science Center, University of Toronto, Canada.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK. During his 10 years of work in both National Health Service and Private Practice in the UK, Dr. Tolessa established a Centre of Excellence for Treatment of Pelvic and Acetabulum Injuries. He introduced the first Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS) for Hip replacement in West Yorkshire.
Dr. Tolessa established DOC Medical Center in 2018 after heading the Orthopedic Department at Al Ahli Hospital, Doha, Qatar, for 8 years. It had long been Dr. Tolesssa's wish to open a clinic that offers a complete musculoskeletal service, and DOC (Doha Orthopedic Clinic) became that vision.

Born in Sudan, Dr. Hafiz completed his specialist training in Rheumatology in the UK (East Midlands region of England). After completing his training, Dr. Hafiz worked as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, UK.
Dr. Hafiz has more than 18 years of working experience in the UK and 12 years of experience in Rheumatology in the UK. He holds the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) and obtained a Master's degree (MSc) in Clinical Rheumatology from the University of Manchester, UK.
Dr. Hafiz is a Consultant Rheumatologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various conditions, including arthritis, systemic rheumatic diseases, and other musculoskeletal system diseases.

Dr. Henrika Westlander earned a degree and Master of Science in Dental Surgery (MScDS) at Aarhus University School of Dentistry, Denmark.

Dr Hiba graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Gezeira University in Sudan. She completed a 4-year training program in Orthopaedics and Trauma in 2018. Dr. Luiza Zorn is a certified DDS and has over than 20 years of experience in adults and pediatrics as a general dentist. She has a DDS from Brazil. Has additional training in Prosthodontics, laser, functional jaw orthopedics, and aesthetic dentistry. She treats children of all ages. She focuses on preventive care and minimally invasive dentistry. Her practice includes all aspects of adult and pediatric general dentistry. Dr Nazmeera graduated in 2017 with a Master's Degree in Chiropractic from the Durban University of Technology in South Africa. Following her qualification she opened a practice in a multidisciplinary center in Pretoria. And later another practice in Johannesburg. Although Dr Nazmeera regards herself as a family Chiropractor she has a special interest in pediatric and infant chiropractic care.
The need to grow and learn encouraged her to leave South Africa and persue a career in Dubai, where she joined an alternative medical care center. This new Exposure with alternative medical practitioners gave her a new outlook on treating patients holistically.

She is faculty at Western Michigan University, College of Medicine as Assistant Professor in Department of Family and Community Medicine. Born in Sudan, Dr. Sami earned his medical degree from the University of Khartoum before continuing on to complete his orthopedic surgery speciality and get his Medical Doctorate from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in 2011.
His fellowship in foot and ankle surgery was earned in 2014 when he joined the University of Malaya in Malaysia.
Dr. Sami is the pioneer of foot and ankle surgery in Sudan and the first and current president of the Sudanese foot and ankle surgeon's association. In 2014, he had established the first-ever specialized foot and ankle surgery unit in Sudan at the Bashaer University hospital.
At their specialized unit, he and his team carried out more than 2000 major foot and ankle surgery procedures.

Dr Waggas Idries Suleiman was born and raised in Sudan. He got his medical degree from Ribat National University where he further expanded the medical academy. After completing his training program, he gained more than 8 years of experience working in Ribat as an instructor.
