Reproductive and Pregnancy health remain poorly studied. Urgent bench to bedside research is needed to address gaps in knowledge to allow for meaningful advances in reproductive, maternal and child health. The Elovitz lab strives to move the field forward through advancing scientific knowledge. Research in the Elovitz lab is centered on maternal health through translational research acknowledging pregnancy health mandates a transgenerational and lifespan lens to achieve the most impactful outcomes... The Elovitz laboratory focuses on revealing underlying biological mechanisms that result in adverse pregnancy outcomes leading to sub-optimal health for the mother and child. The Elovitz laboratory aims to use innovative and transformative approaches to advance science in maternal-child health, thus, providing new opportunities to identify those at greatest risk and to develop new therapeutic strategies to make decrease adverse outcomes for mother and child.
