Alga Kati Singh - Chairman

Alga Kati Singh is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals, couples and families to realign their emotional lives after the effects of prolonged stress and traumatic events. In addition to working with non-for-profit organizations, she has worked with the mentally ill and chemically dependent, immigrants, artists, and has done pro-bono work for the Office of Mental Health, and the NYC Trauma Recovery Network. Respectively, Ms. Singh maintains both a License and Certificate in the field of Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling. She is a trained and certified EMDR Consultant, in training as a Focusing Oriented Therapist and remains immersed in Practical Philosophy, trauma, couple, family and sex therapy. She believes that even though adverse life circumstances are unavoidable, integrative compassionate healing is attainable. Ms. Singh has pursued post-graduate trauma studies at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, family and couple's training at Ackerman Institute for the Family and sex therapy at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. She holds a Master's Degree in Education, with a specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling from the City University of New York - Hunter College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the City College of New York.

Kishel John

Kishel John is a daughter of the Caribbean diaspora hailing from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. She is a Designer, Planner and Manager in the Building Construction Sector. In her free time, she has helped her community by facilitating access to food vouchers, family planning counseling and materials, youth employment opportunities, free physical fitness programs, mentorship and reading/writing tutoring. Often described as a dependable and passionate team player, she joined Cassava Bread in 2021 to continue to provide needed services to her community at large.

Nadege Noel

Job Titles:

Nadege previously worked in management roles at several leading performing arts organizations including New Spire Arts and The Washington Ballet as the School and Studio Manager where she was able to increase enrollment and expand the offerings of the adult dance program. Prior to joining The Washington Ballet, Nadege gained most of her arts management experience in New York City. She held the position of General Manager at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center where she had the privilege and honor to program the venue's first performance season. Nadege also worked at the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) in the capacity of Educational Outreach Director where she was able to significantly increase the presence of HSA's Arts in Education program in the NYC public school system. Nadege earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Management from The City College of the City University of New York and holds a Master's Degree in Performing Arts Management from New York University. Nadege developed a strong interest in the performing arts at a very early age. She started her dance training in ballet at the age of five and also has over twenty years of experience dancing Argentine Tango. She enjoys ballroom and other varieties of Latin-Style dances as well. Nadege lives with her lovely son and husband in Fredrick, Maryland.

Rebecca Bateman

Rebecca Bateman is a licensed clinical social worker, psychoanalyst and somatic therapist. Prior to earning her Masters in Social Work in 2013, Rebecca worked with individuals as a yoga therapist and private yoga instructor for 10 years. Concurrently, Rebecca taught yoga and meditation to at-risk and incarcerated youth, and to people living with HIV and AIDS. Rebecca completed psychoanalytic training at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and studied Sex Therapy at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City. She is currently in private practice in Brooklyn.

Warren Hunter

Warren Hunter is a first-generation American from parents of Guyanese descent. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended public school and college in the city. Warren is currently a computer and electronics engineer focusing on the design and implementation of embedded systems, robotics, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. He is a maker with a passion for ideas and problem solving. Warren's personal and professional philosophy revolves around meeting everyday challenges with logical and practical responses. Warren holds Bachelor's degrees in Political Science from the City College of New York, Computer Engineering from New York City College of Technology, and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in California. Warren has many years of experience in research and writing on various topics including law, engineering, and technology, and is currently a teaching assistant at New York City College of Technology.
