Our group designs, constructs, and applies DNA and RNA nanostructures and nanodevices. By exploiting Watson-Crick base pairings, we can fold a long nucleic acid strand, a scaffold strand, into a desired form through self-assembly. We create both 2D and 3D nanostructures and even some that can move and change conformation! Our work also entails interfacing DNA with other functional materials and characterizing those materials.
