The Flexible Learning Group was founded by Dr. Valerie Irvine, who is a professor in Educational Technology, co-director of the Technology Integration and Evaluation (TIE) Research Lab, and undergraduate and graduate Educational Technology area advisor at the University of Victoria... We provide executive advising and strategic planning at the provincial or organizational level, professional learning programs for administrators or educators, program design and evaluation, external reviews, and speaking events. We have expertise in both K-12 and post-secondary education related to online learning, merging modes in education (i.e., blended, hybrid, multi-access, HyFlex), open education, digital literacy and citizenship, privacy, flexible learning, inquiry-based learning, and assessment... Our team consists of researchers, learning designers, K-12 and post-secondary educators and administrators, and educational technology specialists.
