Our action of course, has to be grounded in scientific rigor lest we do more harm. But, specifically it has to be rooted in the understanding of the dynamics of ecosystems: how they form, how they adapt and build resilience. We also need to acknowledge what is possibly a newer science or discipline for humanity: how to effectively manage/enhance existing ecosystems, and how to create/regenerate new ecosystems.
