Gecko Yachts is owned and operated by Luca Repetto, a professional Italian sailor who developed his technical expertise during 40+ years of racing and working in the sailing world... As a sailor, Luca Repetto participated in the most important national and international Regattas, including two "Whitbread Round the World Race" (now titled "Volvo Ocean Race"). He took part in five world championships, with three medal positions. He won a European championship, two Italian championships, the Fastnet, and many other Offshore and Inshore Races.
