Situated in the Algarve's eastern most corner, nestled across the river from Spain, Grand House is a stunning Belle Époque hotel, a revived Grand Dame that received a new lease of life, becoming the first five-star hotel in the historical town of Vila Real de Santo António. We created our Grand House as if it were a Grand Residence, not a hotel. We planned it as an opulent family house, adding the highest level of detail... Grand House is a Relais Ch teaux Belle Epoque hotel in the East Algarve, nestled in the historic town of Vila Real de Santo António, across the river from Spain... ‘She' was Grand. ‘She' was glamorous, bringing together the affluent and the influencers. ‘She' was one of its kind, the first luxury hotel south of the Tagus River, marking the beginning of tourism in the south of Portugal. With its inauguration in 1926, the Hotel Guadiana set new standards and made its way as an icon in Portuguese hospitality.
