Green Car Institute was founded in 1999 by Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of the Green Car Journal. Ever since the publication began reporting on this field in 1992…... The journey toward a more sustainable transportation future has never been more important than it is today. Green Car Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, was founded on this principle in 1999 and has worked in various ways to encourage more environmentally positive vehicles to market. Key to this is educating media and the public on the benefits of cleaner and more advanced vehicles, fuels, and technologies.
