The birth of HeredityLab began when two colleagues, both with a keen fascination with the world of genomics and genetic genealogy, decided to leverage a combined knowledge of data science into the field of population genomics in order to uncover more information about our own genomes. We spent countless days refining our processes and computational capabilities in order to create the final product, a series of algorithms that are designed to infer ancestral information from human genomes... We envision a service that could make complex genetic information accessible and meaningful to everyone. This shared vision led to the birth of HeredityLab. Our mission is to bridge the gap between advanced genomic science and everyday curiosity about one's roots and identity. Our goal is to provide a glimpse into your ancestral past that informs and enriches your understanding of the present.
