Dr. Albert White is a physician currently working in the State of Alabama. He serves as Medical Director for Hospital Epidemiology at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he has been since 1993. He previously served as the Area Health Officer for Public Health Area 3 for the Alabama Department of Public Health and retired from that position on January 31, 2017. Dr White is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases. Dr White is a Fellow of the American College of Physician and Member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. He has served on the State of Alabama Advisory Councils for STD and TB. He is the past President of the Medical Staff and past Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa with about 385 physicians on staff. Dr White is currently a Physician Advisor and Champion for Continuous Documentation Improvement (CDI), for our facility. Dr White is a member and currently serve as Vice President of the Liberian Medical Association-USA; a group of Liberian medical professionals, not only doctors, who live and work in the U.S. The group keeps in touch with their colleagues at home and support the activities of the Ministry of Health, the Medical School and other organizations with outreach programs in Liberia.
