Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) provide sustainable frameworks for resource management and the production of the built environment. Dr. James Miller's research investigates the use of IKS in the production of culturally supportive environments. As the founder of ‘Ike Honua Dr. Miller aims to quickly disseminate research findings to communities in the field, and build frameworks toward long term solutions that utilize the locally-embedded IKS, utilizing partnerships with nonprofit and government entities.
