Our values and beliefs are our designs' source code, affecting every product, building, infrastructure, and economic model. Unfortunately, most current designs are informed by a mass belief in scarcity. The ironic result of our focus on lack is that our designs are wasteful. Each moment, humanity transforms more into less because we simply don't value the abundance we are working with. The macro result of this pattern: affordable designs are bad for people and the planet, while healthy and sustainable designs are more expensive and far less accessible.
