Anousith VANNAPHON

Dr. Anousith VANNAPHON, is working at Souphanouvong University, Faculty of Agriculture and Forest Resource, Department of Forest Resource. The lectures he gives are Watersheds Management and Forest Management and Environmental Impact Assessment. He received his master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Natural Science, Vietnam National University. His research with UDON THANI RAJABHAT University was focused on the Luang Prabang World Heritage Site: Potentials for entering the ASEAN community in 2012-2013 and Research on Evaluating the impact of some indicators of domestic effluent on the quality of the Khan River, Luang Prabang Province, 2016. Research with Ground water quality analysis in faculty of agriculture and forest resource's campus to produce Doksiew drinking water 2020. He has experience as a researcher of project Development of innovative multilevel formation programs for the new water leading professionals in Southeast Asia - Inow Asia co-financed by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education, Call EAC/A02/2019 - Selection Year 2020. Within last 3 years, he has also worked on the FARFORM EU project. The field work was concerned with carbon scene, a tool to quantify ecosystem carbon in land use scenarios. Another project he experienced was FORHEAL, co-financed by the Erasmus+ EU Programme, aimed at strengthening the forest-related higher education system in Laos and Forests, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: Higher Education Cooperation in the Mekong Region and Working with Forests, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: Higher Education Cooperation in the Mekong Region (FRAME) Project Capacity Building in higher education by Erasmus+.

Arnaud ELGER

His present research interest at EcoLab is about the impacts of anthropogenic chemical contaminants on plants and ecosystems. For that purpose, he uses concepts and tools from his initial scientific background in community and functional ecology. Arnaud focuses on 3 main topics: Impacts of multiple environmental stressors (incl. chemical contaminants) on aquatic and terrestrial plants 2. Importance and sources of intraspecific variations in organism response to anthropogenic chemical contaminants 3. Development of new tools (remote sensing, in-situ environmental sensors) to assess landscape and regional-scale chemical contamination and associated environmental risk

Begoña Serra

Begoña Serra has developed her career mainly in international public administration. She started working at the University of Girona over 10 years ago as a project manager of an institutional cross-border project with France. Currently, she is a Grant Manager at the Office for Research and Technology Transfer, where she is advises on cooperation projects financed by the Erasmus+ Programme. She holds a M.A in European Studies by the University of Amsterdam and a Master's degree in Specialised Translation by the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC).

Bogdana MARCHIS

Bounmy KEOHAVONG

Graduated his doctoral degree in animal science from the Republic of Korea, Dr. Bounmy KEOHAVONG is currently working as the director of Scientific Research and Academic Services at Souphanouvong University. As a director, his main responsibilities are creating, improving, and developing research roles, strategies and policies, also establishing Souphanouvong Journal "Multi-disciplinary Journal of Souphanouvong University", which had been registered with ISSN 2521-0653. In addition, from 2017 to present he serves as an Editorial Board Committee of PSAKU International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (PSAKUIJIR), Kasetsart University, Thailand and Scientific Journal of National University of Laos. He has also been chairing and co-chairing international and national research conferences. Expertise in Animal Science, Dr. Bounmy Keohavong has been appointed as a full time lecturer at Department of Animal Science, Souphanouvong University. He teaches Poultry Science, Monogastric Nutrition, Animal Feed, Processing and Biotechnology, and supervises both undergraduate and graduate students. During his teaching assignment, he has developed several text books including Poultry Production, Animal Feed Processing, Monogastric Nutrition, and Animal Feed Science and Lab, these were funded by KOICA and university. From 2013-2017, Dr. Bounmy Keohavong was assigned to be a National Specialist: Safety of Animal Feed - A8 project, he was responsible for training of the regional staffs for sampling the feeds, possibly containing critical components, assisting in implementation of the annual testing program, and training of provincial/border staff in sample collection and submission. In 2006, he served as a full time consultant at Farming Systems Research/Extension, Lao-Swedish Upland Agriculture and Forestry Research Program, Northern Agriculture and Forestry Research Center, Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. Furthermore, he worked as a full time research associate at Institute de Recherché pour le Développement, Luang Prabang, Laos from 2003-2004.

Boutayna AMRI TOUDRHI

Boutayna AMRI TOUDRHI is a Research Contracts Officer in the Partnership and Research Contracts Department (SPCR). She joined IRD in May 2021, she was in charge of the production of financial reports for a portfolio of projects and since October, she has been in charge of the establishment of the different contracts and helps the researchers of the different units to set up their projects. She has three years experience at the University of Reims and a double training in finance and management control which allows her to develop a versatility to support researchers in project engineering.

Cati Jerez Paredero

Cati Jerez (female). Graduate in Sociology (1996) and Political Science (1998). She has studied postgraduate courses in international relations, international consultancy and mediation. Currently, is in charge of the Refugee Support Program from the University of Barcelona coordinated by the University of Barcelona Solidarity Foundation. The Refugee Support Program develops four lines of action (internal incidence, external incidence, raising awareness and international cooperation) and has one of the most innovative and complete projects of terms of access of refugee to the HE in Spain, the transition course to the university that is cofounded by the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona City Council. Since the launch of the Program in September 2015, coordinates a team that has achieved to organize the internal structure of the University (more than 15 Faculties, departments and units engaged with the project) and the external relations (with  different public administrations: municipalities, supramunicipal administrations, autonomous government and with refugee specialized NGO). She has been also the responsible from the University of Barcelona of RESCUE (Capacity Building Erasmus+ project) and InHere (Strategic Partnership Erasmus+) and nowadays is responsible for UB CHARM-EU Inclusivity chart and coordinator at the UB level of the UniDIversity project.

Claire ALBASI

Claire ALBASI is Senior Scientist of Laboratoire de Génie Chimique (https://lgc.cnrs.fr/), Director of the consortium GIS EAU Toulouse (https://gis-eau-toulouse.fr/) gathering about 500 researchers in the fields of water. With a basic knowledge in process engineering, her main research topic focuses on biological reactors ( MBR, MBBR) for wastewater treatment and all related developments in energy saving and specific applications, with a focus on organic Micropollutants and water reuse for 15 years (SAVE project: https://filiere-save.com/, Transpro https://lgc.cnrs.fr/les-projets/transpro/) . She is the author of 2 patents and 65 papers in referenced international journals. The coordination of several projects TOXEAUBAM (06-09), and PANACEE (10-14) has helped her team to acquire knowledge and competences for bioreactors management, including development for Pharmaceutical pollution treatment at laboratory and industrial scales, (implementation at the University Hospital of Toulouse (CHU Toulouse Purpan) and at the hospital of Arcachon (REMPAR Project). These projects allowed the supervision of about 20 PhD students.

Denisa GIBOVIC

Denisa GIBOVIC Graduated in German and Slavic Philology and Political Science, University of Vienna, Austria (1999); Master in Management of International Projects by the Technical University of Vienna, Austria (2001); Master in Business Innovation and Technology Management by University of Girona (2008); and International Master of Business Administration (iMBA) Programme by La Salle, University Ramon Llull in Barcelona (2015). More than 10 years of experience in development and management of public funded projects related to HEIs, technology transfer, R&Di, education, etc. The main areas of interest are the modernization and the internationalisation of HEIs and the strengthening of its relationship with companies and the society, in general, focusing on innovation as the main link for their cooperation.

Didier Orange

Didier Orange is a senior scientist from IRD, with Doctoral Research Habilitation ((HDR), involved in the French research unit Eco&Sols from the University of Montpellier, dealing with the functional ecology of agrosystems. Didier Orange is currently posted at Dakar (Sénégal), after 15 years posted at Hanoi in Vietnam (from 2001 to 20015), leading a research team for the Vietnamese Academy on Agricultural Science. He received the gold award from the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and he is member of the research steering committee of the Institute for Agricultural Environment (IAE). He was the Representative of IWMI (International Water Management Institute, CGGIAR) in Vietnam from 2007 to 2010. He published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, 4 books as principal scientific editors, more than 200 oral communications; he organized several large international conferences (>100 participants). Today, Dr Didier Orange (UMR Eco&Sols/IRD) is an ecohydrologist working on ecological engineering to promote Nature-Based Solutions related to productive water in rural and urban situations, mainly in tropical zone. My research focuses on inclusive natural resources management, about 1) greening applications to human well-being (food production, clean water, healthy soils, C sequestration) and 2) multidisciplinary approaches as an innovative asset to tackle societal challenges such as water scarcity, biodiversity decrease and climate change.

Dr Alain Brauman

The research scope of Dr Alain Brauman (UMR Eco&Sols/IRD) concerns the impact of land uses changes on soil functioning including biodiversity and soil functions driven by the soil biota community. Recently I develop a new a new set of indicators to monitor soil health named Biofunctool®. It consists of 9 in-field, time- and cost- effective indicators to assess 3 mains soil functions : carbon transformation, nutrient cycling and structure maintenance. A Soil Quality Index synthetizes the results and provide a synthetic soil functioning score.In term of teaching I led 3 international summer ecology courses (MICROTROP) on soil ecology, and organized more than 20 regional training in south east Asia between 2011 and 2016. I was involved during the last two years in an ERASMUS MUNDUS project in Thailand named PISAIE where I led a module on soil health evaluation in Khon Kaen University. I am also involved in the master BEE (Biodiversity and evolution) in Montpellier and I teach soil ecology at the engineer school of SUPAGRO on soil (25 hrs / year).Working on the impact of on land uses changes on soil biodiversity and soil functioning (C turn over, nutrient cycling, soil structure maintenance). I conduct this research in South East Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam), working on the consequences of rubber plantations expansion on soil biodiversity and related functions. The aim of my study is to better assess the relationship between soil functional assemblages and soil ecosystem services. For that we currently develop a set of functional soil indicators named BIOFUNCTOOL link to the soil biota activities.

Dr Maria Martín Sánchez

Dr Maria Martín Sánchez is Tenured University Professor of Chemical Engineering at UdG. Her research interest are focused on the treatment of gaseous effluents for gas purification and odor control, as well as water emerging contaminants, by investigating and developing advanced adsorption/oxidation technologies. Since 2015, Dr. Maria Martín is also the Scientific director of the Technical Research Services (STR) of the University of Girona. Dr. Antonina Torrens Armengol

Dr. Antonina Torrens Armengol (female) is coordinator of WASH (Water Hygiene and Sanitation) and Nature Based Solutions (NBS) for sustainable development programs at the Solidarity Foundation of the University of Barcelona (FSUB), member of HIDROSEC (Sanitary, Cooperation and Economic Hydrology) research group of the University of Barcelona (UB) and associated professor at the Biology, Healthcare and Environment department, Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences (UB). She has a Bachelor in Pharmacy and a PhD in Environmental Science and Technology for the UB (in collaboration with INRAE-France). Her main research expertise is in the field of natural technologies for sustainable water management, water quality and water reuse. Since 1999 until now, she has been working as a contracted researcher within numerous European projects. She has published numerous papers in SCI journals https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2680-7561 and has been involved in more than 30 public/private R+D+I and transfer of technology projects. Dr. DANG Nhat Minh

Dr. DANG Nhat Minh is currently working at VNU University of Science. For academic background, he received his PhD in the Environmental Engineering and Energy area from Myongji University, Korea in 2019. Dr. Minh has experience in the field of environmental remediation. In which, his main research direction is on the application of microalgae for wastewater treatment, biofuel synthesis and extraction of valuable biochemical compounds. He is also joining several national and international projects in environmental remediation. Dr. DANG is actively taking part in undergraduate and graduate programmes in environmental sciences and engineering.

Dr. Gaetan Blandin

Gaetan Blandin is post-doctoral La Caixa foundation fellow at the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Girona (UdG), where he is a member of LEQUiA, research group. He joined LEQUIA research group in 2015 working on osmotic membrane bioreactor within the membrane bioreactor research line of LEQUIA thanks to a Tecniospring Marie Curie grant. His research is dedicated to water processes associated with membrane technologies within the context of circular economy dealing for several applications (desalination, water reuse, nutrients recovery) and topics (process validation and control, fouling and cleaning, module design /process modelling and optimisation, fundamentals of mass transfer). Especially, he is an expert in forward osmosis (FO) which is an emerging membrane technology based on the natural osmotic gradient in-between two streams that allow both for water purification and/or nutrients concentration and which is of particular interest in the context of water in the circular economy.

Dr. HA Minh Ngoc

Dr. HA Minh Ngoc got his Ph.D in Industrial Catalysis at the East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China in 2016. He joined the VNU Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam since 2016. Dr. HA also conducted a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Anhui University of Technology from 2018 to 2019. His research interests are focused on the development of advanced nanomaterials for capture, storage and conversion of CO 2 into fuel and chemicals; photocatalytic water splitting; photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants in water; development of nanocomposite and hybrid nanocomposite materials, multifunctional materials and their applications in environmental pollution control and green industries. Dr. HA took part in about 15 international and national projects related to environmental protection. For instance, the project on Development of strategies and methods for a sustainable restoration, stabilization and management of the Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi between the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany) and Vietnam National University for the period from 2007 - 2010. Dr. HA also involves in teaching activities for both undergraduates and graduates in the domain of environmental chemistry.

Dr. Ignasi Rodriguez-Roda

Dr. Ignasi Rodriguez-Roda is full professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Girona. He has published more than 150 papers in SCI journals (Hirsch Index 35 in January 2021), supervised 18 PhDs, and has been involved (as PI and/or partner) in more than 50 public/private R+D+I and transfer of technology projects (both at national and European level), and in several capacitation projects related to water treatment and sanitation in developing countries. He created a spin off (SISLtech) in 2003 and has two patents, one in energy optimization of MBR and another one in osmotic membrane bioreactors. Among other management positions, he was the project manager of the Campus of Excellence in water and tourism (UdG-UIB-ICRA-CSIC), the scientific coordinator of the UdG Water Campus, an innovative ecosystem that includes companies, administration and research institutions related to water issues. Dr. LAM Van Thinh

Dr. Lam Van Thinh is a lecturer at College of Environment and Natural Resources - Can Tho University, Vietnam. For academic background, Dr. Thinh received a BSc. in Civil Engineering for Rural Development from Can Tho University, Vietnam in 1999. In 2009, he was awarded MEng. degree in Water Engineering and Management in Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. In 2019, he was awarded a Dr. degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. Working at Can Tho University since 1999, Dr. Thinh has experience of working on water supply, drainage and flooding in the Mekong Delta.

Dr. NGUYEN Dinh Giang Nam

Dr. Nguyen Dinh Giang Nam did BEng. of Civil Engineering at Can Tho University, Vietnam (2002) and Master of Water Resource Engineering at Technology University of Braunschweig, Germany (2009). After that, he finished PhD at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology - Japan (2017). He is Head of Department of Water Resources - College of Environment and Natural Resources, Can Tho University, Vietnam. With a wide range of scientific background, he focuses on integrated research with great attention to integrated water resources management, irrigation, groundwater modeling and possible impacts of climate change on behaviors of the different groundwater systems in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. He has invested great efforts to create science-based linkages between the hydrological environment engineering, environmental impacts assessment, and society in order to promote sustainable management of water resources. He is presently participating in different national and international projects as either a researcher or technician advisor.

Dr. NGUYEN Manh Khai

Dr. NGUYEN Manh Khai is an Associate Professor, Dean of Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He obtained the Ph.D degree in environmental chemistry of soil and water in 2007 at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden. He conducted his Ph.D research on accumulation and behaviour of trace metals in soil and water environment effected by reusing wastewater and biosolids as nutrient sources. Since 1999, he has worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Environmental Technology, Faculty of Environmental Sciences. Since then, Dr. Nguyen has participated in several international and national projects involved in environmental chemistry, recycling materials, wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment, applied advanced and integrated technology for a greener environment and circular economy. His research topics are mainly focused on application of chemical and biological processes for the treatments and recycling of wastewater and solid wastes.

Dr. NGUYEN Minh Phuong

Dr. NGUYEN Minh Phuong is an Associate Professor, Head of Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam. She obtained her Ph.D degree at Ehime University, Japan in the field of Life Environment Conservation Science in 2009. She conducted her Ph.D research on arsenic and heavy metal pollution in soil and water in Red River Delta, Vietnam. Since 2010, she has worked as a lecturer at Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry. Since then, Dr. Phuong has participated in several Bilateral and National projects involved in constructed wetland technology for the treatment of wastewater, advanced nanomaterials for photocatalytic degradation of persitent organic pollutants in water, wastewater and solid waste management and treatment technology in accordance with low carbon orientation. Her research topics mostly fall in the field of environment pollution and remediation.

Dr. NGUYEN Minh Viet

Dr. NGUYEN Minh Viet is a lecturer/researcher in the Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth, Faculty of Chemistry, VietNam University of Science. Dr. NGUYEN Van Noi

NGUYEN Van Noi is a Professor at the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry, Director of VNU-Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth Vietnam National University, Hanoi. His research interests lie in different disciplines related to environmental and chemical engineering. Dr. Nguyen Vo Chau Ngan

Working at Can Tho University since 1999, Dr. Ngan has decades of working on water treatment and sanitation in the Mekong Delta. He has technical experiences on design, manufacture and installs wastewater - drinking water treatment system, waste treatment plant. Over the past five years, he has been involved in several projects to create awareness of the local community on the fields of technology transfer, higher education.

Dr. PHAM Thanh Dong

Dr. PHAM Thanh-Dong received his bachelor degree in chemistry from Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University in 2010. In period of Feb. 2011 to Feb. 2015, he joined integrated program (Master and PhD program) at Air Environmental and Energy Research Laboratory, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Ulsan, Korea. In his PhD thesis, he investigated effects of Ag and Cu single- and co-doped TiO2 deposited on glass fiber for photocatalytic disinfection of bioaerosol, containing living organisms or released from living organisms, under visible light condition. After receiving PhD degree, he continuously worked as postdoctoral fellow under Korea Research Fellowship Program in period Feb. 2015 to Jun. 2017. He is currently working as lecturer and researcher that VNU Key laboratory of advanced materials for green growth, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science, Vietnam National University. His research interests in on photocatalysts for environmental and energy applications including synthesis of efficient photocatalysts for air purification, water splitting and CO2 conversion under solar light.

Dr. Ratha CHEA

Dr. CHEA is currently Dean of Graduate School at the National University of Battambang (NUBB), Cambodia. He earned his Master of Engineering in hydrology from National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INPT) in France in 2012 and received his PhD in aquatic ecology in 2016 from University of Toulouse 3-Paul Sabatier in France. His current fields of studies covers water quality, ecology of freshwater fish and food web ecology in the hotspot zones of biodiversity, i.e. the Lower Mekong Basin and Tonle Sap Great Lake in Cambodia, in the context of global changes focusing on patterning and prediction using dynamic and stochastic models to understand the biological responses of aquatic communities to multiple environmental stressors. He is interested in particular how the ecosystems function and put these scientific understandings into management and conservation practices. Dr. Chea has been working as team leader, coordinator in various development projects and capacity building projects (Erasmus+ CBHE & Erasmus Mundus), working with governmental institutions, local communities, NGOs, international organizations and universities. Dr. Chea is former joint-coordinator of CONSEA project and local coordinator of serval Erasmus+ projects (GREENCAP, IND4.0 and INOWASIA) and used to be PI of TLSCC project (2013-2017) funded by Belmont Forum (1.54 M USD) working in Tonl Sap Lake Cambodia and co-PI of many development projects funded by international funding agencies (i.e. World Bank, JICA, ADB). Besides, Dr. Chea is the main organizer of the first International Symposium in Flood pulse Ecosystems (ISFE), which was organized in Siem Reap Cambodia (120 participants) and Guest Editor of the Special Issue on "Tonle Sap Flood Pulse Ecosystem" in the journal of Ecological Modelling. Last but not least, Dr. Chea has established the 1st research group on freshwater ecology at NUBB, where he has supervised many graduates (PhD and Master) and undergraduates and publhished many outstanding resaearch papers contributing to the sustainable mananagment and conservation of fishery resources in Cambodia and Mekong region. Dr. CHEA is the scientific coordinator of INOWASIA, who leads and coordinates all project activities to meet the project outcomes.

Dr. TRAN Dinh Trinh

Dr. TRAN Dinh Trinh is an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry, and Deputy Director of VNU Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Regarding his educational background, Dr. TRAN was awarded a Ph.D in Optics, Laser and Atmospheric Chemistry at University of Science and Technology of Lille, France in 2011 before serving as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at INERIS and IMT Atlantique, France. His main research interests focus on the development of advanced materials for applications in environmental remediation and agricultural technology as well as of techniques and processes applied in water pollution control. Dr. TRAN has enriched his expertise by closely collaborating with a number of national and international experts through various projects. Some projects related to the current proposal should be mentioned are the cooperation project between Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium) and VNU University of Science on the elimination and recovery of metals from ganavoplateing plants in Hanoi area, the Nanofluegas project, a French National project financed by ADEMA and Séché Environnement company whose principal objective is the safe treatment of nanowastes, and the cooperation project between Kochi University, Japan and VNu University of Science, Hanoi. Besides, he has been actively taken part in a Vietnamese national project on the recycle and reuse of agricultural wastes. As regards teaching and supervision of students, he gives regular lectures on Environmental Chemistry, Photocatalytic chemistry, chemical separation techniques, atmospheric chemistry, and air pollution control for undergraduate and master students.

Dr. VO Quoc Thanh

Dr. Vo Quoc Thanh has been a lecturer at the College of Environment and Natural Resources - Can Tho University, Vietnam since 2008. He earned his MSc. degree in Environmental Management at Can Tho University, Vietnam in 2012, and PhD at IHE Delft and TU Delft in 2021. From 2013 to 2015, he has worked as a lecturer in the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Management, Can Tho University. During this period, he also acted as project assistant of the "Climate change and affecting land use in the Mekong Delta: Adaptation of rice-based cropping systems" project funded by ACIAR. From 2015 onwards, he is a lecturer in the Department of Water Resources, Can Tho University. From 2015 to 2019, he was involved in the project of "Modeling a sparsely-sampled, complex delta system: Mekong Delta case study" funded by the Office of Naval Research. He also has been involved in several projects on flood hazard mapping and water infrastructure.

Mr. Socheat CHREA

Mr. Socheat CHREA is currently vice-dean of faculty of Sociology and Community Development. He graduated his bachelor degree of geography from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and earned his master degree in management from National University of Battambang (NUBB). Currently, he is Ph.D. candidate working on ecological assessment of river health ecosystem using benthic diatoms. Sebastià Puig Broch

Sommay SILIVANH

Sommay SILIVANH, is currently working as the head of the research division at the research and academic service office at Souphanouvong University. She graduated with her master's degree in applied mathematics at the National University of Laos. Sreyang SORN

SORN Sreyang is currently hold the position of Secretary of Faculty of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC). He has engaged in interdisciplinary water research and significantly contributed to the emergence of socio-hydrology as a new field of enquiry that put to the fore the co-constitutive nature of social and hydrological dynamics. Based at ITC in Cambodia since September 2019, he focuses on understanding the dynamics between groundwater and surface water resources in the upper Mekong delta.UMR G-EAU (Gestion de l'Eau, Acteurs, Usages - Water Management, Actors, Uses) G-EAU is conducting research on the trajectories of the socio-hydrosystems and their regulation. It contributes to the design and evaluation of tools facilitating the implementation of innovative public policies concerning water and participates in multidisciplinary training for students in the water sector. G-EAU analyzes the hydrological, technical, social, economic and political processes and their consequences within a water-related territory.

Vannak ANN

Vannak ANN is an eco-hydrologist and Remote Sensing/GIS user holding a PhD in Water Science and Technology (2015, UdG - Spain), a Master of Science in Agronomy and Bioengineering [2007, GxABT of ULiège (ex-FUSAGx) - Belgium] and an Engineer's Degree in Rural Engineering (2006, ITC - Cambodia). At present, the main focus of his research is the application of (bio)statistics and machine learning (ML) techniques to ascertain the influence of environmental factors (such as hydrological, physical, chemical and biological) and their variability on micro-and macro-organisms, as well as on the ecological functioning and biodiversity of the Lower Mekong Basin. He is also interested in modeling hydrological processes (at a watershed scale) and climate change-related topics. He has been involved (as PI/co-PI or member) in several projects that relate to the integration of social, ecological and hydrological research.

Vanseng CHOUNLAMANY

Dr. Vanseng CHOUNLAMANY is currently a Vice Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the National University of Laos. Her main responsibilities are the development and management of research and expansion of international collaborations. She served as Head of the Department of Chemistry before taking over the vice deanship. She is a specialist in environmental chemistry and analytical chemistry. She received Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of the Philippines in 2014 for her research on water quality of rivers contaminated by landfill leachate. She was a research fellow at Korea University in 2010 conducting research on industrial wastewater treatment. Dr. Chounlamany contributed to the development of the chemistry master's programme and teaches courses in analytical chemistry and water quality analysis. She is also involved in food contamination research and supervises several master's thesis.

Vongpasith CHANTHAKHOUN

Dr. Vongpasith Chanthakhoun, the current Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forest Resources at Souphanouvong University, Laos. He holds a PhD degree awarded by Khon Kaen University, Thailand. His lectures cover courses such as Experimental and Analysis Design, Nutrition, and Analysis Design Thinking and Planning. He has extensive experience in creating and innovating academic activities and study programs. His research interests are in animal nutrition, food safety and environmental conservation, particularly biogas and rural development (He was awarded Lao Scientist 2021 (Rankings for Scientist) as follows: level 1 of Souphanouvong University, 3 of the country, 96,755 of Asia, and 450811 world level by the Alper-Doger Scientific Index of publications as shown at Google scholar on Citations). He has experience working with national consultants on SPS projects in Laos, funded by ADB, the ForHeal project, funded by the Erasmus+, and the FRAME project. He also coordinates several activities in R&D projects focused on natural resource use to increase the income of smallholder farmers.

Xavier López Arnabat

Xavier López Arnabat (male) is director of the Solidarity Foundation of the University of Barcelona (FSUB) and Director of the NGO Foundation Mon-3 First vice-president of the Catalan federation of NGOs. He has a Bachelor in Geography. He is also professor of the Master in Globalization, Development and Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Barcelona and delegated member of the advisory council of the Institute of Intercultural Studies of the Universidad Javeriana de Calí (Colombia) in representation of the University of Barcelona. His main research competences are in the field of designing social action strategies in relation to the territory, especially regarding the establishment of productive agricultural spaces in urban, periurban and rural environments. Since 1986 he has participated in numerous cooperation projects related to the maintenance of ecosystems in urban and periurban environments and the design of productive farms for social inclusion, especially in Africa and Latin America. He is participating in Erasmus Plus CBHE projects related to water management in Africa (Marema) and in Asia (Wanasea)
