Amy brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries. Her experience working for the country's largest investment banks drives her standard of excellence and her understanding of complex client needs. During her time at Kain, Amy has focused on expanding the financial services vertical.
Prior to joining the firm, she held multiple roles within investment, private, and commercial banking in areas of finance, sales, and data quality. She enjoys consulting, coaching, and building a lasting rapport with the individuals and organizations she represents.
Amy holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford and an MBA in International Finance.
Ann Zylstra has two decades of recruiting experience, specializing in placing highly sought after talent in sales, sales management and engineering positions within technology companies. Her roots in tech recruiting were planted in the dotcom boom and startup frenzy of the late 90s. She worked with the elite technical engineers everyone wanted for contract and the sales people who could pitch and sell completely new ideas in unchartered territory. Many of those relationships continue to this day due to Ann's personal approach to helping talented people make successful career moves that have a powerful impact on their lives. She has built a vast and ever growing network of experienced, top performing professionals in the tech space. Ann is very well connected to hiring managers as well with an array of technical companies and has a strong sense of loyalty and dedication to serving those clients with the highest standards.
Ann is an avid cyclist and marathoner, an endurance athlete in work and play. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two sons.
Jason brings over 16 years of experience from the financial services's industry. His areas of expertise include Sales, Recruitment and Management.
As a Director of Recruiting for 10 years in his previous role, he led a team focused on identifying exceptional sales talent and was a key contributor to the growth and success of the organization. Jason knows firsthand the importance of identifying, attracting and retaining high performing team members to help an organization flourish. John brings more than a decade of award winning Sales and Sales Management experience to Kain Colasanto, which he joined as a partner in 2005.
John began his career in medical sales and moved in to technology in the late '90s. John has a track record of success leading sales teams in software and services firms. His wealth of contacts within the high tech industry makes him an asset to any hiring organization. He has experience building start up and large enterprise organizations at both the executive and individual contributor levels. John has been involved with over 1000 sales placements across different industries.
John takes a consultative approach to partnering with his clients. The goal is quality, not quantity when it comes to building an organization. John strives to always find candidates that are both a skill and culture fit within the hiring organization.
Kathryn brings over sixteen years of experience working within the Advertising industry in San Francisco. During her time at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners and AKQA, Kathryn was an Account Director leading award winning advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 clients. Most recently, she recruited production talent and helped launch a creative representation agency.
Kathryn has built her career around establishing long-lasting relationships with her Clients; she is a trusted partner who brings strategic and creative thinking to every project. Kathryn is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising.
Monica comes with a successful sales background where she's experienced working in IT, eLearning, financial software, medical device and advertising. Through boom or bust, she has an understanding of what it takes to be driven to success within various industries.Her professional career began and rolled through the internet bubble. In the Bay Area, she sold enterprise e-Learning software to major universities, that enhanced quality of learning and reduced cost of higher education. After several years in software and a little world travel, Monica switched gears and launched into medical device sales where she worked with local SF hospitals, talented surgeons, residents and staff.
Monica continues to help fundraise and do volunteer work for local children's organizations. In her spare time she loves being active with family, playing tennis, hiking the beautiful Bay Area trails, running and travel.
Monica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality & Business Management from Washington State University.
