In 2014 the IDRP was recognized by the National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Aging as the only Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study Site (ADCS) in a tristate area. To date approximately 4,000 participants have joined in the longitudinal study. In 2017, the two collaborated on a new effort by forming the Keller-Lamar Health Foundation (KLHF). The initial goal of KLHF is to develop web-based tools for recruiting and monitoring participants in diverse aging studies in a wide array of settings ranging from universities to independent health-related organizations. This new nationwide network, the Jo Lamar Education and Research Network (JLEARN), is now beginning to take shape.
