Dr Alvi began his career in surgery in 1985. In 1992, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. On completion of his general surgery qualification, he undertook training in plastic surgery in Ireland. Newcastle, Stoke on Trent, Preston and Liverpool and has worked in Plastic Surgery since 1993. In 2001 Mr Alvi became a Fellow of the Royal College and was awarded a specialist FRCS (Plast). He is on the specialist register of the GMC. As one of the leading Plastic Surgeons in his field he recently left his position as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon within the NHS where he specialised in reconstructive breast surgery. He continues to work in Aesthetic Surgery
