LUCID Technologies SL was founded in January 2021 as a spin-off from the prestigious Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). The company emerged from over a decade of research led by Dr. Marcelo Bertalmio in the field of Human Vision Models, specifically focusing on "Image Processing for Enhanced Cinematography" (IP4EC). This research, supported by three ERC grants, validated innovative technologies in Tone Mapping and Gamut Mapping.
