Alex Troescher

Alex is a graduate of the Live Oaks Career Development Campus veterinary assistant program and plans to attend the University of Cincinnati - Blush Ash pre-veterinary program. When he is not at work, Alex enjoys playing video games, hiking, and napping.

Alexis Greene

Alexis joined Mason Family Pet Hospital in 2021 and will be joining the veterinary technician program at UC- Blue Ash in August 2022. Alexis has a special interest in emergency and critical care, as well as radiology. Alexis shares her home with two dogs and three cats, and when she is not at work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family and going to the dog park.

Amy Mitic

Amy graduated from Brown Mackie College with an associate's degree in Science Technology through their veterinary technician program in 2014. Before coming to Mason Family Pet Hospital, Amy spent many years at other veterinary practices in the area. While she likes all aspects of veterinary medicine, Amy enjoys surgery the most. When she is not at work, Amy has many hobbies including watching movies and documentaries, reading, hiking, and working on her home that she shares with her five cats and one dog.

Bethany Krebs

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant
Bethany graduated from the Warren County Career Center's Veterinary Science program in 2021 and is currently attending Morehead State University for Veterinary Technology. She is interested in learning about both small and large animals, owning 3 dogs, 3 cats, and multiple farm animals herself. In her free time, Bethany enjoys horseback riding, hanging out with friends and family, and of course, spending time with her pets.

Catlyn Lawson

Catlyn graduated from the University of Cincinnati and has been a certified pharmacy technician since 2016 but has recently made the jump to veterinary medicine. Catlyn has a special interest in assisting with both cats and reptiles. She has been a foster/volunteer for Ohio Alleycat Resource since 2019 and shares her home with her five cats, six snakes, and two turtles.

Clair Lovett

Clair came to us with several years experience as a technician at another hospital. She has her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree from the Bradford Schools Vet Tech Institute. She has fantastic skills as a technician to be sure your pet gets the very best care. She went to Lakota West High School and is soon to be married. She is an avid softball player in her spare time.

Dottie Dayton

Dottie is a familiar face and voice at Mason Family Pet Hospital having joined us as a full-time receptionist in 2005. After many years in the child care field, she decided to put her love of animals to work. Dottie's family includes her husband, two grown children, one granddaughter, multiple dogs, cats, and rabbits. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling, yard work, and spending time with her granddaughter. Her dream is to move to the country where she can own more land and, of course, acquire more pets!

Dr. Carly DeVore

Dr. DeVore is a 2020 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in feline medicine and exotics. Dr. DeVore completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Cincinnati. She grew up just down the street in Mason, and is excited to be working in the hospital where she was once a client.

Dr. Drew Mason

Dr. Mason is a 2014 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree. Growing up, Dr. Mason would often visit Cincinnati during the summer to spend time with family. Upon graduation, he decided he wanted to practice small animal medicine in the Cincinnati area, and we are thrilled to have him at Mason Family Pet Hospital. Dr. Mason has two dogs, a sheltie mix named Keystone, whom he adopted from a rescue while attending school at Kansas State. He was recently married so this brought the addition of Charlie, a pomeranian mix to the family. During his free time he loves going to Reds games, local festivals, trying new restaurants (Eli's BBQ is among his favorites), skiing and watching college sports. Dr. Mason's favorite interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, preventative medicine and dermatology.

Dr. Kathleen Mohlman

Dr. Mohlman is a 2003 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine who came to us with over 13 years of experience with both small and large animals at hospitals in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati. Dr. Mohlman grew up in Beavercreek, a suburb of Dayton, where she was involved in 4H, visited her grandparents' farm often, and worked for a local veterinarian starting in the first grade! In her spare time, she enjoys running half marathons, hiking, camping, and travelling. She shares her home with Jackson, the standard poodle, and Declan, the rambunctious Irish water spaniel. She and Declan compete in obedience and agility training.

Dr. Ruthann Carr

Dr. Ruthann Fox Carr is a native of Mason, OH. After 14 years' experience at a busy Cincinnati practice, she returned to her hometown to open Mason Family Pet Hospital in 2003. She received her D.V.M. degree in 1989 from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University. Dr. Carr grew up on Fox Run Farm in Mason where her family had cattle, ponies, dogs and cats. Her father, Thomas E. Fox, M.D., was a popular family physician who served the community for over 35 years. These two influences stimulated her desire to become a veterinarian from a very early age. Her favorite areas of veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, complicated internal medicine cases, and behavioral problem solving. In her free time, Dr. Carr is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Mason. She is secretary of the Mason Scholarship Foundation. She enjoys traveling, camping, cooking, and spending time with her husband, two adult children, their pekingese mix Nellie, and their two cats Jerry and Oliver.

Dr. Ryan Beltz

Dr. Ryan Beltz grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio and later attended the University of Cincinnati where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. After deciding on a career change, he received his DVM from The Ohio State University in 2016. His veterinary interests include dermatology, internal medicine and general surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing and exercising. He and his wife share their Liberty Township home with their Labrador Retriever, Layla, and will soon welcome their second child.

Jeremy O'Brien

Jeremy graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2012, and joined Mason Family Pet Hospital after spending the first 15 years of his career in retail sales and management. Along with his wife Shay, Jeremy is active in the animal welfare community and has been a volunteer of the My Furry Valentine adoption event since 2017. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their furry family of six dogs and two cats, playing video games, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and FC Cincinnati.

Jessie Griffin

Jessie graduated in 2016 from the University of Cincinnati and shortly after passed her boards to become an RVT. While she was in school, Jessie completed an internship with Mason Family Pet Hospital and loved it so much she decided to stay. Jessie has a special interest in dentistry, physical therapy, and animal behavior. Jessie shares her home with her three dogs, Ruger who she rescued from a hoarding situation, Otter who was her school dog, and Ducky who she adopted after someone found him in a dumpster on campus. When she is not at work, Jessie enjoys hiking and reading.

Jordan Kling

Jordan graduated from Mason High School in 2019 and has attended The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati. Jordan joined Mason Family Pet Hospital, after spending the last four years working in the boarding and grooming industry. When she is not at work, Jordan enjoys spending time with her golden doodle Rosie, her aussie Oakley, and her family as well as watching movies and trying new restaurants. Jordan is interested in attending school to become a Veterinary Technician in the future.

Joseph Habra

Joseph graduated from William Mason High School in 2021 and is currently in the pre-veterinary program at the University of Findlay where he is also working on his minor in chemistry and biology. Joseph has a special interest in small animal and emergency medicine. During his free time, Joseph has been an avid drummer for over 8 years and has played volleyball for over 6 years. He loves to watch movies, especially Marvel movies and works a security guard at Kings Island.

Katie Heath

Katie graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2019 and has been with Mason Family Pet Hospital since 2018. She has a special interest in emergency and critical care, dentistry, and client education. Katie shares her home with her three year old golden retriever Toot Toot, her one year old newfoundland Lacuna, and her two three year old cats Mister and Annie. Katie is a self-professed nerd and enjoys fantasy fiction such as Harry Potter and The Dresden Files, Dungeons & Dragons, Critical Role, Pokemon, and Zelda. She also loves doing puzzles, music, and going to concerts.

Kerry Quinn

Kerry recently completed her grooming certification and is very active in the foster community. Since 2018, she has fostered over 90 different animals. Along with her fosters, Kerry also shares her home with her three rescue dogs, Jessie, Biscuit, and Clover, along with her bird Sora. During her free time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her family and grandson Braxton, traveling, and trying new breweries around town.

Laine Hinson

Laine graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018 with her BA in graphic design and digital media. She has been grooming pets professionally since 2016. Laine enjoys time with her fiancé Will and their four dogs. Some of Laine's favorite hobbies include digital and traditional art, writing, playing video games, baking and spending time outdoors.

Maria Do

Maria is currently attending the University of California, Davis where she is majoring in biological sciences and hopes to attend veterinary school after graduation. Maria grew up surrounded by animals including dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, a parrot, hamsters, mice, quail, and over sixty doves and pigeons just to name a few! Maria currently has two dogs, a cat, pheasants, koi fish, and a peacock. When she is not at work, Maria enjoys playing piano and ukulele, taking road trips to the coast, and hiking.

Marie VanEtten

Marie has been with Mason Family Pet Hospital since 2019. She graduated from Wright State University in 2018 and is currently pursuing a degree as a veterinary technician through Penn Foster. Marie has a special interest in cellular biology and blood testing as well as reptile medicine. Marie shares her home with her two cats Rascal and Damien and will be marrying her fiancé in 2022. When she is not at work, she enjoys learning about Greek mythology and hiking.

Mindy Wise

Originally, from Kansas, Mindy has been with Mason Family Pet Hospital since 2018 but has worked with animals for several years through not only veterinary medicine but also pet sitting, boarding, and doggy day care. Mindy is in interested in animal behavior and specializes in blood draws. She is passionate about helping the sick and scared, and enjoys the challenge of getting them to warm up to her and open up. When she is not at work, Mindy enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, their golden retriever Ava, and their miniature pinscher Bella. They love hiking, traveling and visiting family in Kansas and cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Patty Todd

Patty was a client of Mason Family Pet Hospital that recently turned into a valued team member! Patty comes to us after working in over 30 hospitals with over 2 decades of experience. She loved coming to our hospital as a client so much she asked to work here. Patty has dedicated her life to animal care and welfare, spending time with rescues and as an animal control officer, in addition to her many years as a technician. Patty enjoys spending time with her husband and large pack of squish-faced pups. She has a soft spot for Frenchies and Boxers; the more needs they have, the more she loves them. There is nothing Patty wouldn't do for her dogs!

Peyton Nixon

Peyton join Mason Family Pet Hospital in 2016 after completing a two-month externship program during her time at Brown Mackie College where she earned her veterinary associates degree, "cum laude". In addition to being a veterinary technician, she also serves as our inventory manager. Peyton has a special interest in proper restraint technique, obtaining blood samples, client and coworker education and loves being able to nurture those who do not have a voice (hugs and kisses from patients are always a plus too!). Peyton shares her home with her boyfriend Josh and six children who range from ages 1 ½ to 15 years, and her three fur babies - her beagle terrier Tang, her jack Russell Petri, and her tuxedo cat Noelle. When she is not at work, Peyton enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, the outdoors, watching crime and comedy shows, and is a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan.

Shannon Pollard

Shannon joined Mason Family Pet Hospital in 2020 after spending many years in the food service industry, working at a family owned Chinese restaurant and as a General Manager for Panera Bread. Shannon has an overwhelming love for all animals and shares her home with her pit bull Aurora, her cat Slinky, and even has a tank of fish! She is a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, enjoys hiking and camping, science, and loves anything related to James Bond.

Shelby Strang

Shelby is a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School and licensed in management. She is trained in petrology and is currently interested in returning to school to become a veterinary technician. When she is not at work, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog Loki and cat Mooney. Shelby enjoys nature and being near water, reading, cooking and baking, and gardening.

Shelley Shaw

Shelley studied animal science at Miami University and has a special interest in animal behavior. In her free time, she enjoys watching baseball and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds as well as visiting the Cincinnati Zoo. Shelley and her husband Mo share their home with their three children as well as their three dogs and two cats.

Tierra Allison

Tierra graduated from the Nash Academy of Animal Arts, came to Mason Family Pet Hospital with three years of bathing experience at PetWow, and is doggie CPR certified. She enjoys grooming and spending time getting to know all of our great patients. In her free time, Tierra enjoys spending time with her fiancé, friends, and her four dogs and two cats. She enjoys playing video games, watching the Vampire Diaries, and rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals.
