Before moving to EngenderHealth, I worked for 21 years at the Guttmacher Institute, as an editor on the institute's two scientific journals, Family Planning Perspectives and International Family Planning Perspectives (now known as Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health and International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health). Throughout that time, I edited articles for publication in the journals, wrote numerous digests of cutting-edge epidemiologic and demographic research appearing in other sources, and participated closely in decision making on the journals' editorial content.
