RIDDLE HOSPITAL

The hospital added the South Wing in 1971. The Riddle Thrift Shop, launched in 1961 in Media through the efforts of The Associated Auxiliaries of Riddle Hospital, opened its doors on March 13, 1973 at its new location on the hospital campus in a 6,000-square-foot-building with 24-car parking lot... The 80s saw continued growth, with the addition of the West Wing, featuring a new Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and the first telemetry unit at Riddle. We then focused on delivering health care for moms and babies when the Birthplace and Neonatal Intensive Care Units opened in the early 90s... Riddle Hospital opened on February 18, 1963 with 144 beds, 298 employees, and 170 medical staff members.
