NERO

NERO was founded in 1975 in the aftermath of the oil shocks, as a way to link industry representatives and national policy makers as they discussed solutions to the energy crisis. From just a handful of participants in the early days, NERO has grown to include over 120 companies, associations, individuals and public officials. It is the premier non-profit organization in Washington dedicated to non-partisan discussions of national energy policy. NERO does not lobby, but rather is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization... NERO is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to engage in dialogue on energy issues, recognize outstanding achievements, and promote public awareness. NERO is the primary networking organization for energy interests in Washington, DC. NERO also recognizes outstanding achievements in the advancement of energy policy, public outreach, innovation and distinguished service.
