My name is Al Hafeman. I teach Math which includes Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. This Fall I will be starting my 3rd year at NexTech High. My experience at the high school level includes 25 years in Wisconsin and one year in Florida. My education includes earning a BBA in Marketing and my BS in Math and German Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In addition to teaching at NexTech High School, I do work with Math and German students on the side.

My name is Art Araujo and I support the NexTech Art program, mentor young minds, and deal with day-to-day student concerns. After a start in the private sector, I have been excited about my new position as a full-time educator for the past few years. With that, I have found my true passion! After attending Ferris State University with an Illustration degree in a past life, I was able to obtain a fine arts education certification from Kendall a few years back and I couldn't be happier.

Hi! My name is Dominic Reaume and I currently teach Health & PE and manage the school social media accounts at NexTech High School! I began as a long-term substitute at NexTech in January 2023 and am very excited to return in a new and permanent capacity. I also serve as one of the class mentors for Seniors.

My name is Jeremy McClure and I am the Principal here at NexTech High School. This will be my 6th year at NexTech and my 16th year in education overall. Before working at NexTech, I taught 7th Grade Social Studies in Crown Point, Indiana. I graduated from GVSU with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in History. I later received my teaching certification through Indiana University and Masters in School Leadership through Central Michigan University.
Cristina Zuberbier comes to NexTech High School with 13 years of experience. Fun fact, Cristina was at NexTech High School when the school first opened in 2012 and was first called Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids. She is excited to be back at the school and working with students!
Cristina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Michigan State University (Go Green! Go White!). After being an Advocate for an 8th grade student during her time at Michigan State, she found helping others was where her passion was. She decided to continue her education at Oakland University where she earned her Master of Arts degree in General Counseling with a focus in School Counseling. She has experience as a school counselor in Arizona, North Carolina as well as in Michigan. Outside of school she enjoys baking and spending time with her husband, and two daughters.
My name is Elizabeth Hoving. I am the new Spanish teacher at NexTech High School. I have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years, and most recently I served as a high school administrator. I completed my Bachelor's degree at Calvin University and my Master's degree at GVSU. I love traveling and learning about different languages, people, and cultures. I have had the opportunity to live in both Spain and Honduras.

Hi! I am Megan Krey. This will be my 8th year at NexTech and my 11th year of teaching overall. This year, I will be teaching World History, US History, Psychology and Creative Writing. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.
