NITHYADAR

Nithyadar Parish was established in 1993. However there was no good school either in the Parish nor in the neighbourhood. As a result, most of the children had to go to Mangaluru to pursue their studies. Under these trying circumstances, with the leadership of Rev. Fr. Alban D'Souza and Parish Pastoral Council L.K.G class was commenced. In 1997 -98 students continued their studies in U. K. G . Since the school had not yet obtained permission from the Education Department Students went to seek admission elsewhere. Fr. Alban was transferred on 16.05.2000 and Fr. Denis Suares took over the charge of the Parish as well as school. In 2000 the Education Department granted permission to start primary school. For a few years the classes were conducted in the Church Hall. From June 2001 Dominican sisters came to Nithyadar and a sister took over the responsibility of an H. M in the school.
