OWN THE STAGE

RicNic is a small youth arts charity committed to providing children and young people with opportunities to enjoy and engage in the Arts. Set up by school students in 2004, who put on a show in their school hall, the charity has always ensured that youth voices and ideas are at the core of its work. Our unique youth-led projects offer those with no experience of the arts the chance to unlock their creative side, while also offering those looking to follow a creative career with opportunities to gain valuable work experience and mentoring in their chosen field. RicNic now works with over 1000 young people each year... We are excited to launch the Own the Stage project in the wake of Covid-19, a free, online resource that will help schools relaunch creative activities in the classroom and can be adapted for any future lockdown or bubbling scenarios. Through Own the Stage we aim to reach many more young people and unearth their fantastic creative ideas.
