Felippe Cauê Serigati

He is the author of the book "The Urgency of the Present - Biography of the Environmental Crisis", released in 2011. Joaquim Levy

Paulo Hartung: Economist, at the age of 25 he was elected state congressman, where he stood out as the youngest congressman in the Espírito Santo Legislative Assembly. In 1992, he was elected mayor of Vitória, a position he held until the end of 1996. In 1997, he became BNDES' Director of Regional and Social Development. He was elected Federal Senator in 1998, a mandate carried out until 2003 when he assumed the first of his three mandates as State Governor of Espírito Santo. After eight years in office as governor, he resumed his career as an economist, consultant and lecturer. He founded EcoSecurities, the world's leading company in developing greenhouse gas emission reduction projects and trading carbon credits. Since 1992, Pedro has worked in environmental finance, having developed the world's largest portfolio of carbon credits, over 700 GHG mitigation projects in 40 countries, including the first project registered under the Clean Development Mechanism in the world, the Nova Iguaçu landfill in Rio de Janeiro. Pedro is a board member of the Oxford Climate Policy, an honorary member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and an honorary research fellow at Oxford University's Smith School of Environment and Entrepreneurship. He has authored dozens of articles and publications on carbon trading and environmental finance and was a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change when it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Since 2018 she serves as executive secretary of the Forest Code Observatory, a network of 39 institutions that monitors the implementation of Federal Law 12.651/2012, the intention of generating data and critical mass to collaborate the enhancement of positive aspects and the mitigation of negative aspects of the law, in addition to engaging in political and strategic advocacy, aimed at avoiding legal changes that result in undue flexibilities and setbacks in the legal framework of native vegetation protection.

Roberto Waack
