Israel Klabin: Graduated in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Maître de Conférence at the Institut d'Études Politiques (Sciences Po), Paris, France. Formerly, he served the Brazilian government as a consultant and regional development planner, and as co-author of guidelines for the development of the Brazilian Northeast. Between March 1979 and June 1980, he was Mayor of the City of Rio de Janeiro. He was an organizer of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, ECO 92, and due to his deep interest in environmental issues and sustainable development, he participated in the creation, in 1992, of the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development, which he presides since then. In 1997, he was President of the Brazilian Host Committee of Rio+5 and Co-Chairman of the International Committee of Rio+5. He is a lecturer, publishes articles in national and international journals, and is a board member of several universities and research institutions such as the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Getulio Vargas Foundation, Harvard University, Tel Aviv University and the Independent Sustainability Council of the Inter-American Development Bank. Joaquim Levy: Chairman of the Advisory Board of PlanaFlor. He holds a degree in Naval Engineering from UFRJ, a master's degree in Economics from the Getulio Vargas Foundation and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. He began his career in the Engineering Department and Operations Directorate of Flumar S/A Navegação. He was a professor on the master's course at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation before joining the staff of the International Monetary Fund, where he held positions in the Western Hemisphere, European I and Research Departments. Between 1999 and 2000, he served as visiting economist at the European Central Bank. Marcelo Vieira: Mechanical Engineer from PUC/RJ, postgraduate studies at Imperial College London University, Vieira has a strong link agribusiness, as the former vice-president and president of the Brazilian Rural Society. He has been a farmer and agricultural business administrator for over 40 years, an emphasis on coffee, sugarcane and livestock farming. Between 2005 and 2014, he was the chief executive of Adecoagro in Brazil, one of the leading food and renewable energy companies in Latin America, grain and milk production in Argentina and ethanol, sugar, biomass energy, grains and cotton in Brazil. Paulo Hartung: Economist, at the age of 25 he was elected state congressman, where he stood out as the youngest congressman in the Espírito Santo Legislative Assembly. In 1986, he was reelected, outstanding performance on environmental, health, education and public transportation issues. In 1990, he won the mandate of Federal Congressman. In 1992, he was elected mayor of Vitória, a position he held until the end of 1996. In 1997, he became BNDES' Director of Regional and Social Development. He was elected Federal Senator in 1998, a mandate carried out until 2003 when he assumed the first of his three mandates as State Governor of Espírito Santo. After eight years in office as governor, he resumed his career as an economist, consultant and lecturer. In 2014, he was elected for his third term, after which he announced he would no longer run for elective office. He works on several fronts to train new leaders and gives lectures on public management throughout the country. He is a member of the boards of RenovaBR and All for Education. Pedro Moura Costa: Agronomist from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro and PhD from the University of London. He is co-founder and chairman of the board of BVRio. He founded EcoSecurities, the world's leading company in developing greenhouse gas emission reduction projects and trading carbon credits. Since 1992, Pedro has worked in environmental finance, having developed the world's largest portfolio of carbon credits, over 700 GHG mitigation projects in 40 countries, including the first project registered under the Clean Development Mechanism in the world, the Nova Iguaçu landfill in Rio de Janeiro. Pedro is a board member of the Oxford Climate Policy, an honorary member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and an honorary research fellow at Oxford University's Smith School of Environment and Entrepreneurship. He has authored dozens of articles and publications on carbon trading and environmental finance and was a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change when it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Rafaela Silva: PhD in Ecology and Biodiversity from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Master in Agroecology and Rural Development from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), Bachelor in Ecology also from UNESP and post-graduate in Project Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). She has extensive experience in developing projects and activities related to biodiversity conservation, emphasis on project management, environmental policies and ecosystem services.

Roberta Del Giudice: Lawyer 24 years of practice in Environmental Law. Master in Sustainable Development from the University of Brasilia (UnB) and specialist in Civil Responsibility and Environmental Management. She has worked at the Ministry of Environment for 10 years, where she was responsible for drafting the preliminary bill on Public Forest Management and was the first head of the Legal Advisory Office of the Brazilian Forest Service. Between 2013 and 2018 she worked BVRio, focusing on tools and mechanisms for monitoring and implementing the Forest Code. Since 2018 she serves as executive secretary of the Forest Code Observatory, a network of 39 institutions that monitors the implementation of Federal Law 12.651/2012, the intention of generating data and critical mass to collaborate the enhancement of positive aspects and the mitigation of negative aspects of the law, in addition to engaging in political and strategic advocacy, aimed at avoiding legal changes that result in undue flexibilities and setbacks in the legal framework of native vegetation protection.

Roberto Waack: Biologist and business administrator extensive experience in socio-environmental issues, he founded and was the first CEO of Amata, a company specialising in the production of wood from forest management and sustainable plantations. He was president of the Renova Foundation and one of the responsible for the creation of the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture, serving as a member of its Strategic Group until today. Since April 2020 he is a member of the Board of Directors of Instituto Arapyaú, and is currently its President. He is at the head of the Amazon Coalition, an initiative that seeks to bring together various actors in the construction of a sustainable development agenda for the region.

Rosa Lemos de Sá: Graduated in Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin (USA), Rosa has a Masters in Ecology from the University of Brasilia and a PhD in Nature Conservation from the University of Florida (USA). She has extensive experience in biodiversity conservation and climate change, international experience in programs to reduce deforestation and CO2 emissions. She has a proven ability to negotiate, highly successful results, and a good relationship and connection the environmental community in Brazil and the United States. She assumed the General Secretariat of the Brazilian Biodiversity Fund (Funbio) in January 2010, after six months at the head of the institution's Superintendence Programs. Previously, from 2006 to 2008, she led the Moore Foundation's Andes-Amazon Initiative, in the United States, and worked at WWF-Brazil for 10 years, holding the position of Conservation Director. Rosa is also a member of the advisory boards of &Green and Rare Brasil and a member of the deliberative boards of the Golden Lion Tamarin Association and WCS-Brazil.
Rosangela Campello: She has more than 15 years of experience in the administrative area and has worked as an Executive Secretary in national and international companies. Responsible for BVRio's secretarial activities, preparing control sheets, correspondence, travel expense reports, keeping files updated and in order, and managing contact lists and calendars.
Uriel Bertoche: IT analyst more than 12 years of experience in the area. At BVRio, he manages the development of platforms, systems and software; acts as a bridge between the areas and projects that require IT products and services and the specific team; leads the development and operation of BVRio's platforms and applications; studies the use and viability of new technologies and ensures the availability of BVRio's services.
