Bob Aughey

Job Titles:

Bob hails from Ireland and has been working in the scaffolding industry for 20 years. His experience includes supervis ing Summit's scaffold workforce in the construction of the Water View tunnel in Auckland and overs eeing the scaffold building of the NZICC Convention Centre in Auckland's CBD. Bob is an Adv anced Scaffolder and holds a Site Safe Gold Card in Training and Supervising workers, SARNZ COC Advanced.

Bruce Pickerill

Job Titles:
  • Director
In 1986, Bruce began his scaffolding career in Sydney, Australia working on high-rise construction. He completed a Scaffolding Class 1 Certificate of Competency NSW and holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card. His activities have involved various residential, commercial, and petrochemical projects such as Marsden Point Oil Refinery, Portland Cement, Fonterra House, Princes Street and Mt Eden Prison, and work on film industry sets such as Xena and Hercules.

Dexter Lipp

Job Titles:
  • Contracts Supervisor
Dexter holds an NZ Certificate 4 Intermediate Scaffolding qualification and has a proven track record of excellent workmanship in both the New Zealand and Australian scaffolding industr ies. His familiarity with health and safety, first aid, license to operate machinery such as boom type Elevated Working Platform (EWP), gas testing, and fi refighting equipment, as well as holding supervisory training and certifications, make him one of the many assets of the Summit Waikato workforce.

Gary Pearson

Job Titles:
  • Branch Manager
Gary is qualified as an Advanced Scaffolder and holds Site Safe Gold Card in Leadership and Risk Management. Gary has worked on several major projects in Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa, and managed the scaffold construction at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai - a world-class horse racing venue that can accommodate 60,000 spectators. Gary was part of the senior scaffold management team and led the construction of the renowned Louvre Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and his expertise and extensive knowledge in scaffolding ha ve taken him to massive projects in the oil and gas industry in China, and Angola, Southwestern Africa. Gary has overseen a massive 1000-plus scaffolders throughout these projects and also obtained his NEBOSH and IOSH International certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Hayden Ruki

Hayden has a wealth of experience both in the sca ffolding and warehousing industr ies. He holds a heavy vehicle class license and is a qualified Hi-Ab operator.

John Scott

Job Titles:
  • Company Director
John completed his advanced scaffolder training in 1987, working around Portsmouth, UK as a chargehand on all aspects of scaffolding, including commercial, residential, and marine. He holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card. Some of the projects John has worked on include Auckland Hospital, Sky City Convention Centre, University of Auckland Business School, Stamford Plaza, and Eden Park.

Jolene Emery

Job Titles:
  • Health and Safety Manager
Jolene has joined the Summit Scaffolding Team and is managing the Health and Safety requirements specifically for the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. She has joined us from the high-risk industry of Aerial Fertiliser application where she has been for over five years. Also bringing with her various complimentary skills to enhance the established Health and Safety Culture. With training and breaking content down into everyday language she works closely with the business in both compliance and the Safety and Wellbeing of the person as a whole. Having a background in auditing, incident investigations and government regulations she has embraced the challenge of leaving Aviation Safety behind and is quickly adapting to the world of Scaffolding and construction sites.

Lee Buckley

Job Titles:
  • Scaffold Design Engineer
Lee began his time in the scaffold industry as a Yard Operative in 1996 with Crest Scaffolding in Manchester, UK. In 2010 he became a qualified Engineer, joining Summit in 2019.

Pamela Pearson

Job Titles:

  • Administration
Pamela holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. She is originally from the Philippines and has over 15 years of administration experience managing offices and commercial properties in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Pamela is certified in Proficiency in Accounting New Zealand and oversees the office and accounts for Summit Scaffolding Waikato.
