It all started in 2015. Sea Volute was searching to disrupt the hobbyist aquarium market with an efficient, compact, quiet, low-maintenance, low-cost algae photo-bioreactor that is easy to use in private homes. This quest sent our team on a journey of discovery and led to the invention and development of the AlgaeJet design. Subsequently, Sea Volute decided to expand our vision. In addition to setting our sights on dramatically simplifying reef aquarium maintenance for hobbyists, Sea Volute brings AlgaeJet to the algae gardening, commercial farming, crowdsourcing and water mitigation markets with its high-efficiency, scalability and low cost.
