Sri Kuvempu Mahavidyalaya First Grade College, is located in Kengal-Channapatna on the Mysore-Bangalore Highway in a Green and Eco-friendly environment between Silk City of Ramanagara and Toy City of Channapatna. The Institution was established in the year 1973 in Channapatna with the Vision and Mission of serving the rural students of the Society. Then it was shifted to the new campus at Kengal in 1983.
