Hi, my name is Les Snyder, I am a Vietnam veteran, a husband, a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather. My time in Vietnam was spent with the US Army in the 101st Airborne Division, based in Phu Bai, working the area between there and the DMZ. After being discharged I spent my early working years as a furniture repairman and touch-up specialist as well as doing a variety of different types of woodworking. Then when I was about 32 life happened and I spent the next 30 years in industry as a machine operator, department crew chief, quality assurance technician and finally as a senior research and development technician. I had always been interested in sign making and even dabbled with it some in the early years so after retiring I began hand routing signs as a hobby. It was a perfect fit for an old furniture guy like me. I get to work with wood, power tools and apply different finishes on my creations.
