At the Solar Transporter Group we don't just want to build solar powered vehicles - We want to re-think the whole design process... Is to let the design evolve organically, over time, just as today's modern car evolved over time. It didn't just happen in one single design phase. A dirty little secret that the automobile industry doesn't want you to know, is that many of the innovations and inventions that lead to the modern automobile - actually came from home workshops and Hot Rod garages, not from The Auto Industries' design teams. There is a "Rigor mortis'' that sets in early in the design phase of a project, that can constrict the eventual outcome. The trick is not to fall into that trap. Thus, we are constantly reminding ourselves not to design to a preconceived idea. Our goal is to concentrate our talent for innovation in critical areas, where breakthroughs are really needed; letting new solutions dictate structure. Rather than letting design structure constrain new ideas...
