Barry Mahon

Barry Mahon was admitted to the role of solicitors in 2016 and is a graduate of the University of Galway. Barry trained in Eugene F. Collins (now known as Addleshaw Goddard LLP) and worked in the property department of Philip Lee LLP prior to joining Hoey & Denning LLP in 2023. Barry ™s areas of practice cover all types of private client matters including the sale and purchase of residential property, drafting of wills, probate, and the administration of estates. Barry also advises clients on Enduring Powers of Attorney. Barry developed a strong business law acumen whilst working in commercial law firms and his practice areas span to commercial leases, solar farm option agreements and leases, share purchase agreements, real estate finance and shareholder agreements. Barry is a member of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, and the Law Society of Ireland. Barry obtained a Diploma in Finance Law from the Law Society in 2020. In his spare time, Barry enjoys all types of sports particularly Gaelic games, rugby, soccer, and golf.

Brian J. Mahon

Brian qualified as a solicitor in 1971 having served his apprenticeship under his late father Seamus, before taking over the practice in 1976. Brian specialises in the areas of local authority law, residential and commercial conveyancing and wills, probate, and the administration of estates. Brian has been County Solicitor to Offaly for the past 40 years. Brian was Acting County Coroner for County Offaly from 1997 " 2018 and is a former Chairman of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association.

Dermot Mahon

Dermot qualified as a solicitor in 1984 having served his apprenticeship with Hoey & Denning LLP. Dermot specialises in the areas of personal injury litigation, residential conveyancing and probate. Dermot previously worked as a claims handler for the insurance company AIG, obtaining valuable experience in negotiating all types of litigation claims. He has over 25 years experience in settling claims for those who have suffered an accident. He has acted in hundreds of cases including road traffic accidents, work place accidents, accidents in public places and product liability claims. He has also represented insurance companies in numerous claims. Dermot is a member of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association and is a former Chairperson of Tullamore Tennis Club.

Emily Mahon

Emily has gained particular experience in District Court Practice and Personal Injuries Litigation from PIAB applications to High Court proceedings from a plaintiff and defence perspective. Emily also works in Probate and Administration of Wills, advising clients on drafting their wills and administering estates. Emily also has extensive experience in residential conveyancing and Landlord and Tenant law. Emily is a member of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association, having previously served as Treasurer from 2013 - 2015. Emily was appointed Deputy Coroner for Co. Westmeath in 2020.

Raymond Mahon

Raymond Mahon is the Acting County Coroner for both Offaly and Westmeath. Raymond was a Partner in Hoey and Denning LLP until December 2022 having qualified as a solicitor in 1978. Raymond is a former club captain and president of Tullamore RFC and served as Chairman of the Midland Solicitors Bar Association between 2010 and 2012.
