The main purpose of BVT is to get both eyes to work well together. Therapy may involve a combination of therapeutic lenses, in-office activities, and at-home exercises. This type of therapy is also known as behavioral optometry which was created over 100 years ago. This therapy was pioneed by the late Harry Wachs ( Author of Thinking Goes to School and Visual/Spatial Portals to Thinking, Feeling, and Movement ) who believed therapy should following developmental sequence. Thus we focus on remediating the underlying causes to vision-related problems. Since every person is unique, our individualized treatment program is done one-on-one to maximize results.
