David Wise

David Wise is a partner of the firm. He focuses his practice in the areas of construction law and defects in complex construction disputes throughout the Nation. As a litigator and a licensed professional engineer, Mr. Wise uses his engineering background to quickly evaluate and address the complex and technical issues that arise in construction disputes. He has represented homeowners, commercial owners, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and sureties in construction disputes. His engineering and legal experience are particularly helpful to prepare and resolve construction claims, including claims for impact and delay, acceleration, defective specifications, differing site conditions, change orders, and extra work. Mr. Wise also assists clients in resolving construction defect claims, including water intrusion, toxic mold, and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Wise also lectures on construction related topics. Before forming his own firm, Mr. Wise was an Associate at Braude & Margulies, P.C., a nationally recognized boutique construction law firm, and at Spriggs Hollingsworth, both located in Washington, DC. In 1994, Mr. Wise started his own practice, and in 2005, he formed his current firm.

Joe Langone

Mr. Langone has been practicing law for twenty-five years and has been in the Northern Virginia Area since 1999. Mr. Langone was employed in the financial service and insurance industries before his legal career. After graduation from law school, Mr. Langone had a successful career as a prosecutor in the state of Florida and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Langone's areas of practice have included contract and insurance disputes, business and construction law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy law, and personal injury including toxic mold, and wrongful death. Mr. Langone has extensive civil litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts in VA, DC and MD and has performed a broad spectrum of litigation including intense document review for legal sufficiency, discovery, and depositions. Mr. Langone has provided legal support to many businesses in the area and acted as their general counsel in managing litigation. Mr. Langone has served in the United States Coast Guard, Auxiliary as a legal assistance attorney and as a Staff Judge Advocate in the Virginia State Guard, commonly known as the Virginia Defense Force. Patrick Michael Donahue

Patrick Michael Donahue is a partner of the Firm. He attended the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, and following a two year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Robert M. Scott, Associate Judge of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, Mr. Donahue entered private practice in 1983 and began his trial practice. He currently has a wide-ranging criminal and civil trial practice, representing individuals and businesses. For nearly 30 years he has tried cases before juries in federal and state courts in the State of Maryland and in the District of Columbia, as well as in other jurisdictions around the country. He focuses his practice in the areas of complex criminal and civil litigation and serious injury and wrongful death litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Since 1992 he has been recognized by his peers as an AV rated attorney.
