WISCONSIN FORENSIC UNIT - Key Persons
Alexis Buth, MS, LPC received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field of Psychology from Alverno College. During her graduate studies, she interned with Behavioral Consultants, Inc. She has also worked as a pretrial case manager for JusticePoint, where she engaged one on one with adult defendants to ensure their compliance with court-ordered bail conditions. Ms. Buth has a vast range of experience working with diverse economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds in the defendant population. She joined the Behavioral Consultants Inc. team in December of 2020. In her role as a Behavioral Specialist, Ms. Buth is responsible for providing psycho-education therapy for both adult and juvenile defendants.

Dr. Niess served as a committee member for seven years on the Forensic and Correctional Psychology Interest Section, associated with the Wisconsin Psychological Association. In that role, Dr. Niess assisted with organizing an annual single-day conference providing Continuing Education credits to psychologists on topics relating to forensic psychology.
The company's success is largely dependent upon the professionalism of our administrative staff. Kathy Zane and Sue Zanola are both mature, detail-oriented office managers who are multi-tasked individuals, and thus are able to handle the natural interruptions of the busy office. They have been in the employment of BCI collectively for over four decades. Amanda Maederer is the immediate backup when Kathy cannot be in the office. Angela Kirkpatrick manages the outer counties for the Forensic Unit and Marissa Martinez manages the OCRP and JBCR re-evaluations for all counties. Jacque Williams manages the JCRP database and other tasks in JBCR. Megan Loubriel and Tiffany Schellinger diligently put our schedules together, assist in managing WFU files and monitoring referral progress among many other daily tasks.
