CHESTER BLUECOAT CHARITY - Key Persons
Alex has been an accountant for over 25 years. He has lived in Chester for over two decades and has acted as a governor at a number of local schools. Alex likes to support charities in various ways, including running the London Marathon.
Alex is The Chester Bluecoat Charity's Treasurer.
Andy is a very experienced and skilled urban strategist, urban designer and planner with 40 years' experience working in senior positions in both the private and public sectors. He is originally from North Wales but has lived in Chester for nearly 30 years.
Andy has been on the board since 2021.
David, our Buildings Manager, is responsible for the maintenance and conservation of the buildings owned by The Chester Bluecoat Charity, including the Bluecoat building and almshouses. He co-ordinates both planned and reactive maintenance ensuring that all properties are safe and secure for residential and office tenants with all facilities meeting regulatory standards.

Janette manages the Bluecoat building. She enables the smooth operation of the building's office spaces and meeting rooms, ensuring optimal working environments. She also manages and develops the Bluecoat's facilities, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and codes.
Julia works in internal audit and also as a Registrar for Cheshire West and Chester Council. She is a trustee at Chester Aid to the Homeless.
Julia joined the board of trustees in 2019.
Justin is a Chartered Surveyor and commercial property consultant with vast experience in the industry gained over nearly 40 years in Chester. In his spare time, Justin is a keen golfer.
He joined the board in 2021.
Born and bred in Cheshire, Laura has spent her career in the PR, marketing and digital communications sector and has founded her own creative agency, Luya. Laura is a Governor at The Queen's School, Chester.
Laura joined the board of trustees in 2018.
Lucy is The Chester Bluecoat Charity's Communications Executive and is responsible for the marketing and communications ensuring the charity's brand and message is seen and heard across the city and surrounding areas.
Mike is responsible for developing and driving the strategy of The Chester Bluecoat Charity, including effectively managing the charity's resources and leading the team, to help achieve our aims and objectives.
Prior to this role, he was Chief Executive of the charity Changing Lives Together for over three years and has over twenty years' experience of being a Senior Executvie in both the private and voluntary sectors.
Paul is a councillor for Cheshire West and Chester Council and is chairman of the Licensing committee. Prior to this, he spent over four decades working in journalism, including nearly thirty years at The Chester Chronicle. Paul is a CWAC representative on the main board.
Paul was born in Chester and has spent the majority of his life living in the city.
Rob is a councillor and deputy chairman for Cheshire West and Chester Council. He is a governor for the Robert Oldfield Charity.
