Director, Portfolio Acquisitions - Arizona: Ed spent 25 years in the finance and leasing industry working in equipment and portfolio management. Most recently he was Director - Equipment Portfolio for Boeing Capital Corporation's Commercial Financial Services. Prior to that, he was an Equipment Asset Manager at Cargill Leasing Corporation and it successor organizations, Firstar Equipment Finance and US Bank Equipment Finance. As part of his traditional asset management responsibilities, he was heavily involved in acquiring existing transactions.
Ed came to AFG from The Aircraft Group, a commercial aircraft technical services company, where he marketed an Internet based information and document system.
Jeff joined AFG in 2010 coming out of retirement to facilitate fund development and in 2012 became 40% partner. Prior to joining AFG, Jeff served as the President of Cargill Value Investment Group from 1993 to 2008. Jeff was responsible for all activities in loan portfolio acquisitions, real estate, high yield debt and special opportunities. Under Jeff, the Value Investment Group activities grew from less than $50 million in assets to over $10 billion in assets, consistently exceeding 20% annual returns. In 2007 Value Investment raised its first global third party fund with over $5 billion in institutional capital. At the time of his retirement in February of 2008, the group was operating out of 10 offices around the globe and managing in excess of $10 billion.
Jeff joined Cargill in 1981 working in the company's Strategy and Business Development Department working on business strategies and acquisitions. From 1983 to 1993 Jeff held various management positions in Cargill Leasing Corporation and in Cargill's Value Investment Group. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and a Masters Degree in Finance.
Prior to Forming AFG in November 2001, John served as Senior Vice President and Product Line Manager from 1998 through 2001 for Specialty Finance Group of US Bancorp Leasing (fka Firstar Equipment Finance, fka Cargill Leasing). In this capacity, John had management responsibilities for $500 million in annual originations and a portfolio of 5,000 customers and $1 billion of leases and loans. Prior to this, John held various marketing and management positions within Cargill's Financial Markets Group from 1990 to 1998. John has personally exceeded all individual sales goals and records. John continued that tradition as a manager in exceeding sales goals and records as a group. John is a graduate of the College of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Marketing Management.

Marcus joined Allegiance Financial Group in 2019 as Controller. Prior to joining AFG, Marcus was an Accounting Supervisor at Guaranteed Rate where he managed the company's loan servicing accounting. Prior to Guaranteed Rate, Marcus was with Hyatt Hotel Group in their SEC Reporting group. Marcus began his career with Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor. Marcus graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Accounting and from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management with a Masters in Accounting. Marcus is a Certified Public Accountant.
Shelly has over 35 years' experience in accounting, finance and corporate tax. Shelly's background includes accounting, financial forecasting, budgeting, and portfolio acquisition analysis. As a Sr. Business Group Financial Analyst for Farm Credit Leasing, she was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, spread analysis, and financial analysis for portfolio purchases and sales. Shelly also served as corporate controller for Sunrise Leasing, where her responsibilities included financial reporting and S.E.C. compliance reporting. Previous to this, Shelly worked as a Sr. Corporate Tax Specialist at KPMG, and as a consultant for International Decision Systems, providing project management services, including portfolio conversions and new customer implementations.
Shelly is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, with a degree in Business and Economics. She is also an Enrolled Agent, a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the US Dept. of Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
