ALKE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE UGANDA

More than 75% of Uganda's population resides in rural areas, with limited access to skilled healthcare workers who prefer to practice in urban areas. As a consequence, rural Ugandans are chronically lacking quality, equitable healthcare services. Among the goals of our work is to reduce the morbidity and mortality rates in communities where we operate caused by preventable medical and surgical conditions. Providing access to quality evidence-based healthcare services informed by medical research is the key to achieving these ambitiousgoals.
