Our facility is equipped with a robust variety of fabrication equipment and tools. From artisan hand tools to industrial machines and cutting-edge CNCs, laster cutters, and 3D printers - our labs provide you the capability to work with whatever materials you choose... Akron Makerspace, formerly Syn/Hak Inc, began as a way for Makers, DIYers, and programmers to share resources and build off of one another's experience. Since its inception, we have grown from a small two-car garage into more than 10,000 square feet in Downtown Akron. Our continued expansion has enabled new opportunities for our many labs: wood, metal, robotics, electronics, crafting, coding, and arts - all in support of students, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs... We are a Makerspace that provides tools, training, and a location for members of the community to learn hands-on skills and enter into entrepreneurship roles.
