Dave Berry - CEO

Dave Berry is a highly accomplished scientist and manager with significant expertise in chemical conversion and microwave assisted catalysis. Formerly, Dave served as Associate Director of the Energy Conversion and Engineering Directorate at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory. Dave has more than 34 years of combined experience and expertise in both defense and energy-related research & development involving hydrocarbon conversion processes, fuel cells, turbines, gasification, clean-up, fuels and catalytic conversion technologies. Berry was responsible for NETL's on-site capability in chemical reaction and device scale conversion technologies throughout his 36-laboratory operations area. Prior to that, he established NETL's fuel reforming program/capability and was the lead inventor for several related patents which led to licensing of spin-offs exclusively to commercialize the NETL technologies. His efforts in chemical conversion R&D resulted in program expansion of research into transformation reaction science including plasma, RF and microwave-based reaction systems. Berry also managed NETL's solid oxide fuel cell program and additionally facilitated the product development, technology transfer and licensing of NETL fuel gas desulfurization technology. He has more than 40 peer-reviewed journal papers (1 book chapter and 2 encyclopedia chapters), 1 published book, over 50 conference papers and editorial board member for Elsevier's Catalysis Today journal. He also has over 30 patents/patent pending, multiple of which have been licensed.

Dr. Chetan Tambe

Dr. Chetan Tambe is currently a Senior Engineer overseeing AmeriCarbon's patented manufacturing process to design high-value carbon products from coal in an energy-efficient way. Prior to this, Dr. Tambe worked for 5 years at Cardolite Corporation (PA) as a Research Scientist, where he developed a novel hydrogenation technology platform thereby enabling new product lines in the company portfolio. He led the successful pilot-plant scale up of these technologies and initiated new research initiatives with various academic institutions. Dr. Tambe graduated with a PhD from Michigan State University, where his doctoral research focused on sustainable development of biobased and biodegradable materials. During his tenure as a PhD student, he broadened his horizon by doing extended internship stints at Coca-Cola (GA) and Sherwin Williams (OH). At Coca-Cola, he was part of a team which was responsible for optimizing the polymerization process for developing next-gen polyester materials for packaging to replace PET. Dr. Tambe received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology (India). His research, so far, has resulted in several peer-reviewed journal and conference presentations, 1 book-chapter and 5 patents.

Greg Henthorn

An experienced business executive with a broad background in corporate and project finance, Greg Henthorn enjoys contributing to the establishment and expansion of companies with a proprietary position in growing markets. He has led the negotiation and closing of more than $100 million in debt and equity financing, including transactions with large private equity firms, family offices, venture capitalists, and angel investors. Henthorn also has diverse experience with commercial transactions and building strategic alliances among businesses. His activity has principally involved innovation-driven businesses in energy, chemical manufacturing, and environmental sustainability. Henthorn holds degrees in chemical engineering, business, and law from West Virginia University, where he also currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Energy and Land Management program. A strong advocate for regional economic development, Henthorn serves on the Board of Directors of TechConnect West Virginia, a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution dedicated to innovation-based job creation.

Robert Wentz

Robert Wentz is the founder of PointSquared Ventures and Stonewall Capital investing in the technology, energy, and data analytics industries. He also founded Stonewall Energy, an energy exploration and support holding company, that includes American Energy Holdings and STE Energy. Mr. Wentz previously served as the Executive Chairman of Allegheny Science & Technology (AST), an engineering and technology company supporting mission critical R&D efforts for the Department of Energy and Intelligence Agencies. He cofounded AST in 2009 and operated the 6-time INC 500 fastest growing company until his exit in 2020. Prior to AST, Mr. Wentz founded Information Research Corporation (IRC) a software development and engineering firm supporting the Department of Defense and NASA. Mr. Wentz is a Computer and Electrical Engineering graduate of West Virginia University and earned his MBA from the WVU School of Business & Economics.

W. Chad Green - CFO

W. Chad Green is a 21-year executive with finance, accounting, and audit experience in diverse and entrepreneurial environments. Having worked with Antero Resources, Antero Midstream (formerly VP-Finanace), Deloitte (Audit), and other start-ups, he has broad experience with strategic & financial planning, operational analysis, and financial reporting. Mr. Green was involved in the planning and execution process of IPOs for the Antero entities (NYSE: AR, AM, AMGP). He has been involved in raising over $4B in capital in private and public debt/equity markets and led or managed several M&A/A&D transactions totaling $1B+. He has an extensive network of relationships in the financial and accounting fields including commercial/investment bankers, legal and technical professionals, and energy executives. Mr. Green is an alumnus of Colorado State University, earning his B.S. in Accounting.
