SHPE is a national recognized organization in pursuing to lead in social-technical path to enhance, develop, and achieve potential for Latinx students to become the next generation leading scientist, innovators, engineers, entrepreneur, mathematicians, technician, and technologist... We are part of a much bigger community and organization of professional engineers that serves as role models and leaders in the Latinx community. SHPE, pronounced as "ship", was founded in 1974 in LA, and was developed into a prominent and significant presence in the professional world. Today, SHPE maintains a strong but independent network of professional and students chapters throughout the nation... SHPE promotes in changing lives by empowering the Latinx community in realizing its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development.
