I am a school governor as my daughter is a student at the school and I therefore want to ensure that the school is delivering high levels of performance and providing the best possible learning experience and environment for all students. I have worked for the local authority for 17 years which has provided me with substantive experience in safeguarding, mental health, crime and anti-social behaviour, child exploitation and support to vulnerable individuals. I am always exploring opportunities for service development, generating efficiencies and ensuring value for money. I want to utilise my skills and experience to support the school on its continuous improvement and development journey.

I am currently a project manager within the South Yorkshire Futures programme Team at Sheffield Hallam University. South Yorkshire Futures is a partnership committed to improving education and raising aspiration for young people in South Yorkshire - particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme, led by Sheffield Hallam University and backed by the Department for Education addresses the educational attainment and wellbeing of learners and aims to develop a dedicated and talented workforce to support them. I am also a UK Vice-Chair of the Higher Education Liaison Officers Association which is a national organisation which aims to support students make informed decisions when considering studying at Higher Education Level.
