I worked as a teaching assistant in the manufacturing lab for two and a half years. I taught students how to design in Autodesk Fusion 360 and use the CAM package to manufacture those designs using multiple manufacturing processes like laser cutting, CNC machining, and 3D printing. My Master's thesis is in CNC milling of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP), focusing on the operation's surface quality and dimensional accuracy. During my Master's, I studied production control, simulation, project management, and additive manufacturing. I decided to get my Master's in Industrial Engineering due to my work at the manufacturing lab. My mechanical engineering degree gave me a background in design; however, I was very interested in both the design and manufacturing aspects of engineering. I wanted to design and manufacture a part while keeping in mind how to reduce cost and utilize the best manufacturing process.
