Astro is a Telco RnD engineer from Giza, Egypt. Currently, he is working at the Interdisciplinary centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) in leading the development of the RnD activities in the spectrum of 5G and beyond for Terrestrial/Non-Terrestrial networks with support to EU organisations and partners such as OSA, 3GPP, SES Luxembourg, Proximus, LSA (Luxembourg Space Agency), and ESA (European Space Agency) among many. In the past, he worked as an RnD engineer to support in national projects funded by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority in Egypt. After he Joined PERCRO lab in Pisa, Italy to work on developing a radar solution for railway inspections. He recieved his B.Sc. Degree (distinction with honor) in Electrical Engineering from the Canadian International College in 2017 with the thesis titled Cognitive Radio Network that was developed with Virginia tech, USA to develop spectrum coexistence solutions using software-defined radio.
