As the curriculum lead, Fozia works closely with teachers, staff, students and parents to ensure the smooth functioning of our school and the delivery of high quality education. Jodie Moir is a former teaching assistant turned Primary School SENCO & Inclusion Lead . She brings a unique blend of experience and passion to the role. With a deep commitment to inclusive education, she is devoted to creating an environment where every student can thrive. From supporting teachers to collaborating with parents, her goal is to ensure that every child's educational journey is marked by success, support, and a strong sense of belonging. John Halliwell, originally from Liverpool, grew up during his secondary years on the Isle of Man and has therefore been through both an urban and rural education. This also reflects his experience as a teacher and leader in schools, which began in 2001 as a teacher in a Middle School in Settle, North Yorkshire followed by a move to London in 2003 where he has since remained.
As a teacher and leader within London, John has held roles as SENCo, Inclusion Leader and Deputy Headteacher. He has been a Headteacher in 3 schools within the London Boroughs of Newham, Barking & Dagenham and now within Croydon/Sutton and is a valued member of the STEP Executive Team. John's overall aim has been to work with communities who are within the highest areas of deprivation and in turn to make a significant impact on the aspirations and achievement of the children within these communities.
Since joining STEP, and in recognition of outstanding leadership, John has been an NLE. More recently, John has also led on leadership development at a Trust wide level and strategically oversees SEND; providing training, coaching and developing talent mapping throughout the Trust.
Mazen Mukhtar is a Head Teacher whose senior leadership journey has spanned three schools, each marked by a dedication to improving children's life chances. With a steadfast commitment to education, Mazen has tirelessly worked to create nurturing environments where every child can thrive. He is consistently focused on empowering young minds and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
