Amanda completed a Bachelor of Oral Health in Newcastle in 2008 and a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2012.
She began her dental career as a hygienist, and given this, she aims to not only restore or repair your teeth but assist you in maintaining them for life. Where possible, keeping your own natural tooth is always Amanda's priority.
Amanda has undertaken additional training in root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, veneers and Invisalign. With the recent advances in technology, she has been enjoying providing same day service for crowns as well as basic dental implants.
Amanda understands that most people visiting the dentist are nervous and prioritizes taking her time to listen and explain your treatment options. She enjoys being thorough, ensuring patients are given plenty of time to ask questions.
Amanda enjoys her practice at Boulton Dental - the friendly reception and knowledgeable support staff make each day pleasant and help provide a calm environment for her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Amanda is married with 2 young children who she loves taking swimming and bike riding. She also likes running, especially with her mum.
Ed studied at Otago University New Zealand completing a Bachelor of Physiology (HON) followed by a Bachelor's in Dental Surgery in 2004.
He began his dental career working at Hunter New England Health as a Dental Officer. This followed his practice at Boulton Dental (previously known as Paul Beath Dental) in 2008, under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Beath.
Ed mostly enjoys helping people with their oral health, getting them back on track.
His professional interests include root canal, complex restorative/full mouth rehabilitation, simple dental implants, and smile makeovers.
He enjoys the recent advancements in dental technology, including same day crowns, how it improves the way we deliver treatment to patients and makes it fun.
Eric completed his Bachelor of Oral Health (USGD) 2010. He then completed a Bachelor of Dental Science with Charles Sturt University in 2016.
Recently, Eric has completed a Master Implant program (Brener Implant Institute) 2022.
He Enjoys his practice at Boulton Dental, working alongside a fun supportive team that enables him to provide the best dental care for his patients.
Emily joined Boulton Dental in 2016.
She has been an oral health therapist for 8 years and has worked in the dental industry for 15 years.
Emily graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2013 and a graduate Diploma in Dental Therapy in 2014. From there she went on to a graduate position at Westmead Centre for Oral Health.
She loves every minute of working at Boulton Dental. Emily is a firm believer in "prevention is better than a cure", and that is what she aims to provide for all her patients. She very much values this shared practice philosophy.
Emily enjoys working together with patients of all ages & their families, tailoring their treatment to individual needs & what will work for them.
Professionally, Emily hopes to undertake further study to broaden her scope, allowing her to provide more comprehensive treatment to adult patients, in addition to being able to provide restorative care to children under 18years of age. She considers her qualifications a ‘license to learn', and endeavors to always keep up to date with current research to improve patient care.
When Emily is not seeing patients, she can be found at the University of Newcastle Dental Clinic supervising students. But most of her time is spent with her 2 young kids & family. She loves reading and trying to find time daily to fit it in (easier said than done!).
Heather joined Boulton Dental in 2022.
She completed a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy from the University of Newcastle in 2022 with an award from the College of Health, Medicine, and Wellbeing for academic excellence.
Heather is dual qualified as a hygienist and therapist with extended adult scope.
She always enjoys bringing a smile to her patients. One of her passions is paediatric dentistry, making children feel comfortable and helping them play an active role in their own dental experience. In doing so, she hopes to encourage positive attitudes towards oral health care for future generations.
When Heather is not treating patients, she enjoys walking along Newcastle's beaches, having dinner with friends or visiting family members.
Jessy joined Boulton Dental in 2014.
She completed a diploma in Dental Therapy in Sydney 2003. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle in 2007.
Professionally, Jessy's special interests include Preventative dentistry and providing an enjoyable atmosphere in the dental surgery for both children and adults
Outside of work Jessy likes to keep fit and train for long distance races. She is also busy at home with her 3 young children.
Katerina joined Boulton Dental in April 2022 as a receptionist but has recently expressed her interest in learning the roles of a Dental Assistant.
She is currently studying her Certificate III in Business Administration and has previously completed her studies in a Certificate II in Retail and a Certificate II in Housekeeping.
Prior to this role Katerina worked in the Hospitality and Retail industry.
Outside of work she love's going for coffee and brunch dates as well as socialising with her friends.
Lauren joined Boulton Dental in 2017
She completed a Bachelor in Oral Health from the University of Adelaide in 2015. Lauren also holds a Bachelor of Development Studies (2011).
She enjoys getting to know her patient's life and experiences, helping them feel good about their teeth and smile, giving them confidence in the dentist again.
Lauren provides exceptional service and care to her patients.
Her professional interests include periodontal health maintenance, Paediatric dentistry, calming anxious patients, patient education and prevention.
Outside of work Lauren enjoys being a book worm, gym/fitness, and her beautiful Frenchie ‘Pippa'!
Mackenzie joined Boulton Dental in February 2020.
Since joining the practice she has completed both her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and Certificate 4 in Dental Assisting (Radiography).
She enjoys the continuity of care at the practice, getting to know patients and building relationships with them.
Professionally, Mackenzie is a very organized individual. She loves working with a positive and fun team and reaching her goals.
Outside of work Mackenzie enjoys camping and 4W Driving.
Susannah joined Boulton Dental in January 2020, having spent 20 years in the dental industry with specialist practices including Maxillofacial, Periodontal and Implant, General Dentistry as well as working in hospital theatres as a dental nurse. She has also worked in aged care and has completed a Sail making apprenticeship.
Susannah enjoys being part of a team that uses her skills and knowledge to help bring exceptional treatment and care to our patients. Her naturally empathetic and kind nature ensures patient comfort.
Outside of work she spends time with her 2 children and husband. You will often find Susannah either on a boat sailing, watching the sailing, camping or skiing during the winter months.
