CODY ROSKELLEY - CEO, Founder

Cody has been involved in all phases of real estate for many years. After graduating from BYU in Business, he worked on solving title issues for First American Title. From 2003 to 2005 Cody attended the Rice University MBA program. Upon graduation, he worked for a Houston based REIT, in the retail development group. Cody's primary focus was on redeveloping retail shopping centers. In late 2009 Cody joined a successful investment company that specialized in buying, rehabbing, operating, and selling distressed multifamily assets. Cody has also overseen the purchase and rehab of over 500 single family homes that were purchased at foreclosure auctions in the state of Texas. Over the years, Cody has learned how to see the potential in an asset, and make the necessary changes to maximize value. Cody is passionate about improving the operations of multifamily assets, while also educating and serving the people living in the associated communities.

KARINA GARCIA

Karina has been involved in the accounting side of business for many years. She graduated Cum-Laude from the University of Houston with a major in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. Since graduating, Karina has worked for some of the most prestigious accounting firms such as Arthur Andersen as an Auditor. During her time at Arthur Andersen, she participated in attest engagements for publicly and privately held companies in a broad range of industries. Before teaming up with Community Builders, Karina worked for El Paso Energy for 15 years. She started in the Marketing segment and later on worked for the Production segment. As a Senior Accountant for El Paso's Marketing company, she worked in a financial reporting role preparing disclosures used for external reporting. She acted as the main liaison between external auditors and the company. She was also a team member in charge of the implementation of Corptax. In the Production segment of El Paso, she was the administrator for Assurenet, an account reconciliation system. She was also in charge of preparing the monthly accounting reports, account reconciliations, the G&A accrual process, variance analysis, journal entries, trial balance reports, coding, and much more. The Accounting experience that Karina brings to Community Builders is invaluable.
