The Chitradurga District Co-Operative Central Bank Ltd., Chitradurga was established in the year 1955. The Bank was covering whole of the undivided district (Chitradurga & Davanagere) with 9 Taluks till 2002. After bifurcation, the area of operation of this Bank extends to the whole of the Chitradurga district with 6 taluks. Hiriyur taluk is having irrigation facilities and remaining 5 taluks are rain fed areas. The major crops of the District are Jowar, Cotton, Groundnut, Sunflower , Maize, etc., The Bank has totally 14 Branches of which 7 branches are located at Taluk Head Quarters and the remaining 7 in rural area. Farmers of the district are being financed through 157 Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies ceded to this Bank...
