DATASCRIBE

Datascribe is a company passionate about interpreting data to make it accessible, engaging, and beautiful... While working as a research scientist in various biology and earth science labs, I realized the unfortunate disconnect between scientific research and what is communicated to the public via popular science outlets. I saw this communication problem everywhere - there is so much information we have access to, but our time to digest it is limited... I was drawn to data visualization as a way to solve this problem, as pages of text or spreadsheets can be synthesized into clear, concise, and entertaining graphics. I'm self-taught in R, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop and completed Harvard's Master of Statistics program in 2017. I started Datascribe at the beginning of 2018 in order to work with a variety of clients with interesting data problems.
